There is no "flyingspaghettiday", but there definitely is a "thursday" (thors day)

But, if you do not like me doing Asatru, I will gladly adopt a theistic position that is modernly popular.

Since you want me to take your position, then you should take mine. I'll agree to this if you defend Christianity. Otherwise I am not really interested.

Agreed.

now I must know which dogma and sect you apply your studies to.
I just sent Tack a formal request for him to moderate our debate.

I'm non-denominational and a trinitarian, as well as a bible literalist and a young earth creationist. My beliefs are all pretty mainline within that..I believe in original sin, the fall, the life death and resurrection, substitutionary atonement, the second coming, judgement day, heaven and hell. Here is a site that sums most of it up:

Wonderful.

I was raised Southern Baptist so I am very knowledgeable to the basics. I also spent some time in my youth at non-denominational "rock" church, so I think I can give this debate the justice it deserves.

As I posted before, I sent a request to Tack. but if for some reason he cannot do this mod, is there another mod willing to take his place?

Rev, what do you mean by moderate the debate?
Can't any of the mods do this?

Indeed, you could moderate the debate.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Yeah, I could, but I'd rather have tackattack do it even though he's a retired mod.
I think this is going to be weird "formal" debate (if it happens). It should be called a "devil's advocate" debate.

Aye.
I thought about taking part in such a debate but seeing as I've always been an atheist, I find it rather difficult to formulate any kind of argument for theism. Easy to argue as an atheist, nothing to defend. No burden of proof. Tongue
