The Blu-Ray player in my room has started to malfunction lately. Some Blu-Ray discs, when I put them in, never load. They try a couple times, but it ends up crapping out and it says the disc is not supported. In this case, what's usually worked out was putting a disc that actually loads properly in, and then replace that with the disc you actually want to play. Today, it's hit the point where, with some discs (read: my edition of Terminator 2), even that doesn't work. So, I decided that the thing to do was replace the player with one that I had sidelined after my TV crapped out and Dad thought it was the Blu-Ray player. And now, it actually fucking plays.

Trying to decide how to deal with temps that go from the 90s to the upper 30s, back up to the 80s and down to the 40s without blowing up our ancient HVAC system. In the last week I have gone from AC to windows open to heat and back around again. Sheesh...the weather.

Heading south to Mazatlan today and home tomorrow. We were planning on staying in Mazatlan a few days but we need to get home before Roslyn reaches land.

We safely arriveday our penultimate destination in Mexico several hours ago, fed and watered the dogs and got some supplies from the store.

Rosyln is now a category 4 hurricane and we are not that far from the predicted landfall point. We are fortunate that the bay offers some protection from hurricanes. It's looking like we are going to probably escape the absolute worst if it.
