Charlie Kirk Says Gun Deaths Are 'Worth' it to Keep 2nd Amendment
Quote:Charlie Kirk, the conservative founder and president of Turning Point USA, said during an organizational event on Wednesday that gun deaths in exchange for the preservation of Second Amendment rights is part of America's reality.
Kirk's comments come about one week after three children and three adults were killed at the Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.
The exact words he used: Quote:“It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment”
Here's the story.
And while I can't find the video of Kirk saying it on YouTube, here it is on Twitter.

I wonder if kirk would be willing to sacrifice its own life, or that of those close to it, for that tremendously magnificent second amendment?

Is there no number of deaths too excessive to justify more limitations on the 2nd Amendment? 100,000 a year clearly isn't enough, what about 300,000? A million?

I think to this kind of people its all about other peoples (or relatives) lives.
1 or 1million, does not matter.

Tennessee House GOP expels 2 Democrats in retaliation over gun control protest, on ‘sad day for democracy’
Quote: Two Democratic members of the Tennessee House of Representatives have been expelled while a third member was spared in an ousting by Republican lawmakers that was decried by the trio as oppressive, vindictive and racially motivated.
Protesters packed the state Capitol on Thursday to denounce the expulsions of Reps. Justin Jones and Rep. Justin Pearson and to advocate for gun reform measures a little over a week after a mass shooting devastated a Nashville school.
Speaking to CNN’s Don Lemon on “CNN This Morning,” Jones decried the actions of House Republicans. “What happened yesterday was a very sad day for democracy,” Jones said. “The nation was able to see we don’t have democracy in Tennessee.”
https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/07/us/tennes...index.html
Particularly galling was that Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton had the audacity to compare this protest (by all accounts peaceful, and rallying in support of legislation the majority of Americans [Including Republicans], and even the majority of Tennesseans, support) which led directly to the expulsion:
To January 6th. Yes, the same January 6th that happened because Donald Trump was a sore loser who demanded that a crowd of people invade the Capitol for the express purpose of forcibly overturning the results of a free and fair election. The same January 6th that included people openly calling to hang the Vice President for refusing to play along, and even built a fucking gallows on Capitol grounds to make that happen.

Truly absurd. I know lots of people who are deserting that shit. When the chump lost in 2020, my chump-loving neighbors actually said, "At least he cleaned up some of the corruption!" These people drink some special kind of kool-aid, is all I can say.

Special indeed. Rather delusional actually to rationalize the party actions as good.

I'd be real tempted to ask some probing questions about precisely what corruption they were claiming 45 cleaned up

Today I saw a dipshit in a hatchback with a shitty glasspack muffler pop pop popping while he weaved in and out of traffic doing at least 50 in a 35, Trump MAGA flag flapping up and down, on account of it being held fast by his hatchback.
Yeah, the flag is pointless, we can you're a Trump man.
