I wonder how much this program is being used for school work. I would imagine that a teacher would recognize something is written better than what a student has usually turned in. But how could you prove it?

I think they'd probably also recognise different writing styles, but yeah, as I understand it, this has been a big problem even long before ChatGPT, with other similar tools... so I've no idea how they could resolve it either.

I wonder what it would do if you asked it to write a post for the boston terrier societies homepage from the perspective of swedenborg, and then a post ridiculing that post?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

And how many Netflix screenplays are now written by AI?

For technical support I used to go straight to chat because I would get a human faster. Now, all the chats are vitual AI agents that only give canned responses to questions they already have answers to. That, as opposed to the question I actually asked. Kinda like ChatGTP automatically assuming I wanted to post as an atheist even though I specifically asked for a post from a Swedenborgian perspective.

Post for the Boston Terrier Society's Homepage from the Perspective of Swedenborg:

Greetings, esteemed members of the Boston Terrier Society,

Allow me, Emanuel Swedenborg, to share my unique perspective on the beloved Boston Terrier breed. While my writings may not directly touch upon canine companions, I believe that the spiritual insights I have garnered can offer a fresh and enlightening viewpoint.

In my exploration of the spiritual realms, I have contemplated the intricate connections between all living beings, including our four-legged friends. Just as humans possess an inner spiritual essence, so too do our furry companions. Boston Terriers, with their endearing charm and delightful personalities, are vessels of joy and unconditional love, bringing warmth and light into our lives.

The Boston Terrier's distinctive physical features, such as their expressive eyes and unique coat patterns, can be seen as outward manifestations of their inner qualities. Their alertness symbolizes a keen perception of the world around them, while their compact yet sturdy build signifies both agility and resilience. These traits serve as gentle reminders for us to embrace awareness, adaptability, and strength in our own spiritual journeys.

Furthermore, the Boston Terrier's boundless affection and unwavering loyalty reflect the divine virtues of compassion and devotion. They teach us the importance of nurturing and cherishing the connections we share with our fellow beings. As we observe their playful nature and their ability to brighten even the gloomiest of days, we are reminded of the transformative power of love and laughter.

In this community of Boston Terrier enthusiasts, I encourage you to deepen your appreciation for these remarkable companions. Let us honor their unique qualities, both physical and spiritual, and celebrate the joy and unconditional love they bring into our lives. Together, we can foster a nurturing environment where we exchange insights, stories, and tips to enhance the well-being of our beloved Boston Terriers.

May the spirit of camaraderie and reverence for these delightful creatures thrive within our society. I eagerly anticipate engaging with fellow members in meaningful discussions and learning from your experiences.

With warm regards,

Emanuel Swedenborg

Ridiculing the Previous Post:

Oh, dear readers of the Boston Terrier Society,

Please excuse my laughter as I attempt to collect myself after reading the previous post from the so-called "Emanuel Swedenborg." I must admit, the attempt to infuse spiritual musings into the world of Boston Terriers is nothing short of comical.

Now, don't get me wrong; I adore our furry friends just as much as the next person. But attributing spiritual insights and symbolism to their physical features and personalities? Come on! Are we really expected to believe that a Boston Terrier's alertness and resilience are manifestations of their deep spiritual essence? It seems more likely that they're just excited about treats and toys.

And let's not forget the mention of their "boundless affection" and "unwavering loyalty" as reflections of divine virtues. While it's heartwarming to witness their love and devotion, let's not get carried away and start equating their adorable antics with some grand cosmic significance. They're just dogs, after all.

So, my dear Boston Terrier enthusiasts, let's keep things in perspective. Our furry friends bring us joy, companionship, and laughter, but attributing spiritual symbolism to their physical attributes is a stretch. Let's appreciate them for the delightful creatures they are without reading too much into their every wag of the tail.

Here's to celebrating our lovable Boston Terriers and embracing the simple pleasures they bring, free from the lofty spiritual interpretations.

With a lighthearted smile,

I was just thinking out loud.  And there is a difference between trying to see if a student has studied a topic, and hopefully grasped it, and the writing of something for entertainment.

Just tossing out ideas/questions.

Seed text: Explain why an atheist might be interested in Swedenborg.

Generated text from ChatGPT:

While Emanuel Swedenborg was a theologian and mystic with deeply religious beliefs, there are several reasons why an atheist might find him interesting:

1. Philosophical Exploration: Swedenborg's writings delve into various philosophical topics, such as the nature of the self, the meaning of life, and the exploration of human consciousness. These subjects can be of interest to atheists who are engaged in philosophical inquiry and enjoy exploring different perspectives.

2. Psychological Insights: Swedenborg's work often touches on human psychology and the complexities of the human mind. His ideas on the interplay between good and evil, the exploration of emotions, and the pursuit of personal growth can resonate with atheists who are interested in understanding human behavior and the inner workings of the mind.

3. Symbolism and Allegory: Swedenborg often employed symbolism and allegory in his writings to convey spiritual concepts. While atheists may not subscribe to the literal interpretations of these symbols, they can appreciate the metaphorical meanings and explore the insights they offer about human nature, ethics, and the search for meaning.

4. Historical Significance: Swedenborg's influence on various intellectual and cultural movements, including Romanticism and transcendentalism, makes him an intriguing figure in the history of ideas. Atheists interested in the evolution of philosophical, religious, and mystical thought may find value in studying his writings as part of their intellectual exploration.

5. Interdisciplinary Perspectives: Swedenborg's work spans multiple disciplines, including theology, philosophy, psychology, and even science. Atheists who enjoy interdisciplinary approaches and the integration of different fields of study may find his writings thought-provoking and stimulating, even if they do not share his religious beliefs.

6. Cultural Understanding: Exploring Swedenborg's ideas can provide insight into the religious and intellectual climate of his time. Understanding the religious and mystical traditions that have influenced society can help atheists develop a more comprehensive understanding of historical and cultural contexts.

It's important to note that while an atheist may find aspects of Swedenborg's work interesting, they may approach it from a critical or skeptical perspective. Engaging with Swedenborg's ideas does not imply accepting his religious beliefs or the existence of supernatural realms. Instead, it offers an opportunity for intellectual exploration, critical analysis, and appreciation of diverse perspectives.
