The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
Vivek Ramaswamy, who claimed he could speak truthfully on climate change because he's not "bought and paid for," has a $50M+ stake in an investment firm dedicating to drilling as much fossil fuels as possible.

The main fund is literally called DRLL.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It reads like a long list of complaints about having suffered the consequences of their actions.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Republicans always campaign on the plank that the government is broke dick, then they get elected, go to Washington, and prove it.

House Oversight Democrats ask GOP to subpoena Affinity Partners, Jared Kushner's $3 billion Saudi-backed private equity fund

Shortly after leaving the White House, Jared Kushner got $2 billion in funding from the Saudi government for his private-equity fund.

Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince who developed close ties to Kushner, pushed the deal through, the New York Times reported.

Now, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are asking the GOP to investigate with the same zeal they've applied to Hunter Biden.

Quote:Proud Boy Dominic Pezzola sobbed in a Washington, D.C., courtroom Friday as he asked a federal judge for leniency in his Jan. 6 sentence and vowed to stay out of politics in the future.

However, after receiving a 10-year prison sentence, Pezzola reportedly raised his fist and shouted, “Trump won,” as he left the courtroom, according to WUSA.

The 46-year-old, who smashed a Capitol window with a stolen police riot shield, stood trial alongside four other members of the Proud Boys earlier this year in one of the most high-profile cases related to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

The group faced seditious conspiracy charges for leading efforts to disrupt Congress’s certification of the 2020 election, following former President Trump’s loss to then-President-elect Joe Biden.

Pezzola, a recent Proud Boy recruit, was the only one of the five to be acquitted of seditious conspiracy. However, he was convicted of assaulting, resisting or impeding a police officer, robbery of government property and destruction of government property.

At Friday’s sentencing hearing, Pezzola apologized for his actions and told U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly that Jan. 6 was “the worst, most regrettable decision in my life,” according to NBC News.

“Your honor, I stand before you as a changed and humbled man,” he also said, according to WUSA. “But, nonetheless as a man who has always taken responsibility for his actions … I have never denied what I did on J6.”

However, after the judge left the courtroom, Pezzola shouted out his support for Trump.

^Innit funny how many of these idiots claim they were ‘swept up in the moment’, after arranging a leave from their job, packing their luggage, booking a flight, reserving a hotel room, and traveling hundred or thousands of miles?

RE: The Absurd GOP
I find the GOP, or Republicans, as idiots. The actual politicians here, so no offense to anyone who is republican, but technically, the Republicans generally have become bad. They may say they are for the people of the United States, but in reality, they are for themselves. It is like what was said by another person: "If you want to do things for yourself, you tell people what they want to hear. If you want to do things for others, you tell people the truth." Thing is, I think most Republicans care only of themselves. They hardly, if ever tell the truth, and they are self-centered, meaning that they actually do not care about others who are not like them, like homosexuals, people of other races, etc. and they brainwash and suppress women, trying to make it look like they are actually bad.

In regards to religion, I think the GOP is just like religion. They just go by one way of thinking, and discard others, and they do not actually care for, or even allow freedom, even if they say otherwise. They are just trying to take advantage of and brainwash people to follow them, no matter how wrong they actually are. It is a shame some people do not see through their lies.
