Yeah man, I'm sure Thomas Aquinas, Saint Augustine, and many others were just dumb as rocks, definitely not intelligent people. I don't care if you don't believe in God, but do not call His followers stupid.
You’d prefer I call them halfwitted? Gullible? Moronic? Laughable? Naive? Senseless? Witless?

Perhaps you know why you see science as a getabble, something that religion made? Something that, even though you don't have it now, a god will just hand to you, somehow, as you indicated?
Here's the thing . . . and I vaguely remember you from when I first came here briefly. We had some interesting discussions. I don't recall if it went south as it always does, or I just got bored and left* but I have never had anything against science, but at the same time I've never had any interest in it. To me a dinosaur is a big lizard (taught that in old school, turns out it may have been a big chicken).Space, which is God's creation, is beautiful - for about 20 seconds. To me. But if I were temporary steward over the entire world until Jehovah sets up his kingdom, I would destroy politics and organized religion by taking away their financial incentive, money, fractional reserve banking, etc. and give science and technology, now uncorrupted, the power to provide for every man, woman and child on the planet. AND I would make it so any subsequent temporary ruler wouldn't be allowed to interfere with it with any other corrupted vehicle. The corrupted world is a dragon. The solution to the dragon isn't to fight or tame it, the solution is to starve it.
* My getting bored isn't a reflection or criticism of you or the forum in general, it's a reflection of my having done this for way too long. Yes, yes. We are so impressed that you have put so many years into this and still suck at it.

I doubt they're stupid, it's just that they're not pretentious brainiacs.

87 is an average I saw.
And I'm no brainiac, I struggle along with my 128, and leave the heavy thinking to the eggheads.

Don't feel bad. I haven't done anything amazing with my 140ish quotient.

I don't know about the others, but Aquinas certainly was. Bedrock for the church's geocentric theory. Not a Biblical teaching, by the way.
Actually it was. Some day when you have a chance look up what the Hebrew cosmos looed like. Google is your friend.

You guys are so . . . weird. Compare Stephen Hawking (160) with, say, James Wood (180).

If you don't use it it don't matter what it is. I turned down a seat at the Naval Academy Preparatory School because I couldn't pretend to be an officer.
