I cant even touch d4. Those games are like crack to me. I'll spend hours, weeks, years, stacking knots on knots. Many moons ago me and a buddy farmed d2lod rmt. No lifed it. It featured prominently in my divorce. My compulsivity in games like that lead me to what I do now, in a weird way. If you love a thing, if you can't help but do a thing...if you'd pay someone to let you do the thing - monetize the living shit out of it.

Made it to level 50 with a character close to fifty hours in. Then I deleted the character and started again. Tried a few classes, but did not care for them. Back to being a Necro, but with a bone spur build this time instead of sever.

Been enjoying Oddworld: New & Tasty. It took a bit to figure out the basic mechanics, but since then it's been good. Also started Anno 1800. It's.... weird.

I'm a bit turned off by Diablo 4. I've taken a break from BG3, but I'll get back to it over the holidays. I'm about 100 hours in, but only on the 3rd act. I will probably start a new character at some point as well.
I did like Diablo 3 seasons, but D4 sounds like even more of a grind to farm the best gear.

Bought Astroneer again, on Steam this time, for the (much) better performance (over Xbox) so that meant I couldn't really rest until I'd done the permadeath challenge again. What an adventure that's been... I've been completely obsessed with it all week, to the detriment of everything else. It scratches a completely different type of itch than all my other games, and I've been basically on the edge of my seat all week. I said it was not too hard before but that's not really accurate... it's variable... and this one was real tough challenge but very satisfying to beat... still buzzing from it. It's so intense though, I don't think I'll have the energy, mental or otherwise, to play this mode again for a while... but it is a nice option for when the mood strikes.
