Merely for expressing his opinion? How anti-first amendment.

That's not how the first amendment works, mate. But you Christians haven't ever really cared about that - you love free speech so much you want to keep it all for yourselves.

The First Amendment doesn't cover slander. Even a Muskrat should understand that much.

Not being a follower of Fauci or Musk, and avoiding the nonsense on social media whenever I can, I wasn't aware of any such slander. I was speaking only to the actual comment Musk made in the post referenced.

I have no idea of the evidence Musk may have that supports his claim, and as Fauci is not leveling lawsuits against any of those who have made similar claims about the result of his actions in regard to Covid 19, I have to assume that there is sufficient question to allow such remarks under the First Amendment as no one has proved their falsity. Fauci claims one thing, his detractors another. When proof in either direction is decided upon in a court of law, I will be happy to amend my remark, if it requires amendment.

You can’t accuse someone of mass murder without evidence. That’s what makes it slander.

I am a Messianic Jew, not a Christian, and I do care deeply how the First Amendment works, but I, at least, do not wish to deprive anyone of it.

How the various churchians feel, I cannot say, but I think even they have no difficulty with anyone making use of free speech. From what little I have observed, they seem to desire the freedom to dispute what others say, even if it upsets those who wish they would just shut up.

Messianic Jews are Christians.

You don’t seem to grasp that ALL freedoms are necessarily limited. Speech, like anything else, comes with consequences. This is why most countries have laws regarding libel, slander, and defamation.

I don't think you understand. Musk's actual comment is slanderous.

Or perhaps Fauci doesn't go around suing people when he and most Americans see through the bullshit anyway. He asserted that Fauci's policies caused millions of deaths which has no basis in fact. I know if I were in Fauci's shoes, I'd be suing the shit out of Musk.

I'm hanging breathlessly on your opinion.

Well, when written down like that, it's libel. The only difference between slander and libel is that libel's easier to prove.
