What I find unreal is widespread fear of "communism" something that is long dead and buried coupled with equally widespread acceptance of fascism (even if those who accept it rarely admits it).

Even them will not admit to supporting fascists policies I think. Enacting them without explicitly naming them is another thing though... To be frank if fascism can take root in Poland, country so affected by it in the past, it can take root everywhere.
