It's not supposed to be done for anyone's pleasure, it's done to staunch the inevitable flow of blood because that was their only option in those ancient days. Naturally, this is one of those practices that almost everyone but the Orthodox-To-The-Point-Of-Absurdity Jews has LONG since abandoned.

I figured that. This explanation was for the ones who didn’t know. And, frankly, responses like Fake Messiah’s are the reason I did that post.

You ever cut your finger and lick the wound, FM? That’s pretty much the why this ritual exists; because it was probably the best way of stopping the blood flow from a fresh foreskin wound available to the Jews millennia ago.
