GN giggled at the phrase creation week in the previous page, so I know you guys know how to read the word week, right? You know, that period of time usually made up of days?
Isn't a day when the earth orbits the sun? Did your deity just have some string with knots to count before this?

"6 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. ....the fourth day."

Hmm, and stars are finite aren't they, or...they were all created in one go,  and ours after the earth had vegetation on it?

For future ref John, this is the point where lol, would be justified.

Nobody said it was. Except for Boru who alleged that the Earth was 6,000 years old because it was made on Day One. Clearly, the earth was around before that.

If I have a batch of raw pig iron sitting in my shop for a year, and use it to make a vase today, how old is the vase?

I don't tell people what they believe. I tell them why they believe it. That's just what we do in psychology.

Nobody in the real world acts like this. If you're at a table with strangers and say you believe X, the normal response is usually Oh really why do you believe X?
Yeah, I think we tried that, you came up with none of the good reasons you claimed to have, and one circular reasoning fallacy.

"Around" but blank, and unseeable owing to a lack of light. When does god get around to putting the fossils in because I've got a shitload of stromatolites here that need to be put in just the right place and I'm betting it'll take The Subcontractor more than a day.

Good analogy. You understood exactly what Genesis describes: The earth existed like raw pig iron before day one. And on day one it was shaped for life. Not that complicated right?

I have no issues with you saying life began 6,000 year ago.

Do plants need the sun or do plants need light?
Both obviously, when the earth formed 4.543 billion years ago.

Oddly enough, nobody in real life walks up to a random table, sits down, and starts telling everybody "If you don't believe exactly as I do then you're going to spend all eternity roasting in hell!" That's called a crazy street preacher and they aren't welcome in most establishments for much longer than it takes the cops to arrive.

Well, if you come across such a person be sure to call the cops then.

Was it, it says it was created, and it then some more stuff, then it says ...day 1. Which is older John the earth or "all the stars"?
