I predicted this even before Trump took office, because two such giant egos cannot fail but come to blows. Tesla will suffer more from this as MAGAts shy away from supporting Musk's brand, and Trump, for all his faults, not only understands what's needed to push a bill into law, but also has the power to punish those who turn on him, and has shown no compunction about abusing that power to his own ends -- and has a compliant Congress to follow suit.

It's not a result of the egos. It's a result of Musk being an idiot who couldn't see what everybody else saw coming because Trump made it clear long before he was elected.

That too could be a result of Musk's ego. I think Musk thought he could capture the political process with his own sway. Only, Trump's ego has already captured Congress.

Who the heck knows what goes through that man's head. I agree this will hurt Tesla even more. It will drive away any new fans he picked up on the right but it's not going to get him any forgiveness on the left.

Hopefully something high calibre.

It's being buzzed (as opposed to actually reported) that Trump has finally got it through his thick skull that the DOGE cuts cost more than they saved and has been asking his advisers, 'Was it all just bullshit?'

Considering the reports of his drug use and pill box, I don't know if that will be necessary. I doubt he's going to die of old age.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
