Thanks for having this forum!

Due to the ominous recent rise of religious fanaticism ,mainly from the USA I am glad to be a part of this forum.

The current regime of the USA, is allowing and condoning attacks on rational, empathetic and science minded people.

As a student of Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris and others (yes even Shakespeare),I am hoping to have some reasonable discussion with like minded individuals.

We are under siege!

thanks.

With my reference to Shakespeare.

Don't recall which play the quote goes:in referring to death...

"....to sleep, perchance to dream.."

He was VERY bold to place that line in the 16th century.
obviously he was not promoting the wonderful afterlife...

Great to see another guitarist here.Music is food for the true "soul".Too bad there are so many great English expressions based on religion. We need to invent our own lingo...
The so called "progressive " forums are now full of hate spewing MAGA trolls.
I hope and assume that this forum is devoid of those .

I would tend to think if they visit and post here they would be "damned"!

There's a fairly broad range of opinion here, except where MAGA is concerned. I think our small but active membership are in agreement that Trump and his movement are bad for America. Otherwise, it's a pretty broad range of folks.

Welcome, DocGabby!

I glossed over this in my earlier response, but what music do you play on your git? I'm on heavy-rock/blues/jazz, with a little folk and classical laying around. What are you into?
