Pound to a penny that 25% represents people who have never seen a war up close and personal.

Given that Trump has solid support from vets, to the tune of around 40%, it wouldn't surprise me to find more than a few vets supporting this war.

I'm sure the DOJ will prosecute that violent assault. /s
And I'm sure the punishment for that unruly vet will be swift ans severe.

Quote:Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem felt “thrown under the bus” following her firing by President Donald Trump Thursday after complaining she wasn’ getting the support needed to do her job, according to a report.
The Daily Caller quotes an unnamed official as saying Noem believed she had been made the administration’s scapegoat over the disastrous Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, which saw two U.S. citizens shot dead in confrontations with federal agents.

Of COURSE she was thrown under the bus. Trump fires people for one reason and one reason only - to protect Trump.
The fact that she was also a corrupt shitbird is neither here nor there.

No offense, but 40% doesn't sound like solid support to me, especially given that the US military leans more than 50% conservative.

Considering that she worked for a fascist she got off pretty lightly. She always could ask Rohm how those who help such scumbags are thanked.

I guess it's definitional. 40% is also about the number of vets who are center or left; I see anything above one in three as solid, myself. At any rate, it doesn't change my point that with millions of veterans wo support Trump (even after the way he's disparaged us!), we know a good proportion of them will be supporting this war.
Also, @ BrianSoddingBoru4, you'd mentioned in another thread Trump wearing campaign swag at the repatriation of our fallen soldiers ... I just wanted to add that in that picture he's saluting our troops. Though as Commander-in-Chief it's his prerogative to salute us, I personally don't feel he has the right to do so and reject his faking the respect that our salute signifies.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham: “I go back to South Carolina. I’m asking them to send their sons and daughters over to the Mideast. What I want you to do in the Mideast to our friends in Saudi Arabia and other places, step forward and say ‘this is my fight too.’”
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
