I had just told the good RevJ that not all people who identify as religious are delusional. While this might still be true in some capacity, life sometimes conspires to throw shit up in my face to remind me that not ALL, but a good MANY are fuckwads who deserve the fires of their own hell.

Sometimes Lewis Black joked that the news would make you want to kill yourself. Now I fucking get it.

I had posted about this before, because a politician had said something to this effect some days ago, reported on Think Progress, but I didn't realize how the concept was making its rounds.

It absolutely infuriated me, as it's kind of a big deal when ANY child commits suicide. Bullying of any sort has been denounced loudly, and it's only the Christians who continue to cling to the gay angle - which is hilarious. Just like their god has shite aim when it comes to punishing people, seeming to frequently call up disasters that kill the innocent and "guilty" alike, Christian fuckwits have also caused straight kids - "innocents" - to suffer or commit suicide because their own little foot soldiers proclaimed them gay.

Let's just put a hated label on someone because they're different from us, and that gives us the right to badger them literally to death.

Why am I putting this in politics? Because these asshats climb the political rungs to spread their message about the gay agenda and how it's "okay" to bully someone for being different. They need to be voted out of office, and they need to be more loudly denounced. This country seems to have a fear of upsetting the religious right and their dick-fearing minions and it needs to stop.

This is a case where we SHOULD have NO tolerance for their fuckwittery.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like gay people. I've never met a gay guy didn't like. They all seem to be so pleasant to be around.







Seriously, if it wasn't for the 'sex with men' part of it, I would totally be gay.

It's baseless hatred. It's just as repugnant as racism and just as stupid.

The thing that irritates me about Christians is that they claim that hate crimes legislation will take away their rights, yet they can't see how far into the wrong they are about bullying and constantly telling gay people that they're worthless, not to mention the gay bashing that the hate crimes laws were designed to punish. They know that they're the ones responsible for all the bullying, yet they don't appear to want to do anything about it.

Of course they don't.

There are many reasons why I am an antitheist instead of a theist. This whole issue is an example.

When she posted that, I took it as there are shades of delusion. Some religious people are extremely delusional. Others are slight. While others are shades in between...which I agreed with.

The worst part is that some of theses assholes are trying to put a clause in anti-bullying that allows for this kind of shit. They tried it here in Michigan all under the guise of religious freedom. These people make me sick.
