Before the Hubble Telescope people could have not imagined what the universe was really like, that in no way limited the universe in being what it really was. I can not photograph the wind only it's action, I can not photograph God, however I can see His actions and not just in my life but in others as well. Also I can photograph a lake with the water perfectly still, not even a ripple and know the wind is not blowing, but because I have a picture of the wind in action I can also use a picture of no wind to show that the wind is real, same with God, I see His actions in some people and know He is real, and when I do not see His action in some people I still see God is real.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Yes, but we know the wind is the wind because it is described because of its actions. Things you attribute to god can be attributed to other things. Also, mathematics can give us an idea of what a lot of the universe is like fundamentally. What do you use to measure god?

that was almost a good analogy, except for the fact that wind is tangible, can be measured and enough of it can take your trailer right off the blocks. welll, not *yours* per se, but i'm jussayin.

Wind can do a lot of damage but you still can't see it only it's actions.

Math could have never given us the beauty of the universe like Hubble's pics have. God's action in others is described, it can be known through the scriptures and God's non-action can also be described in others by their actions, things that are also described in the scriptures, see Paul's epistles.

Fact is you could be, if not, probably very wrong.
No matter how much you want something to be true, no matter how much you believe it. You can still be wrong.
