Hadn't seen this thread before. To the OP, your dad seems to being illogical on this topic.
He is on the one hand applying a very absolutist interpretation to the term atheist (via the agnosticism point. Remember a principled agnosticism applies equally to all gods), and at the same time saying roman Catholicism is the only valid alternative, which can only be based on bullshit unprovable nonsense.
Does he literally believe in virgin birth and the wafer turning to flesh???
Ps. Joan of arcs miracles? Lol. What faith were her enemies at this time? What faith burnt her, for heresy or by some accounts, as a witch?
