On the upside, the germans, in being beat, traded their issue with the soviets to the Allies to manage.

When the Grand Fleet celebrated allied victory in 1918 by dressing its battleships in the flag of all the victorious allied nations, the Germans snickered contemptiously: "what honor is there in winning when most of the world is helping you". Only the Germans could think it more honorable to piss off the world so one could lose the war essentially alone.

It's a matter of time before France will have same sex marriage by law, as will be the case in Germany. Long live the freedom to choose your own lover.
