Not putting any value judgments. I am saying that no matter the issue it is a bad idea to do anything just because others are doing it. That always gets humans in trouble no matter what the issue is.

We all have the potential to do good things and bad things, but we often as a species end up following and as a result bad things can and do happen as a result of saying "they're doing it too, looks fun and feels right".

On this issue of diets the and exercise to me it is no different. You can take anything to an extreme out of some need to fill a gap in your life emotionally, and just like any other addiction it can go horribly wrong.

Which is why I am advising this kid not to do things simply because they look fun or feel right. If he wants to be healthy while doing this, it cannot be to the point where he feels like a failure if something doesn't go right.

Which is why he needs to do it for himself and only listen to people(not yes men), but objective people who can be the outsider to say "sure this is ok" or "you're pushing it too far" and be willing to listen.

If all he does is go with his feelings and tries to model himself after others, that is the quickest way to become a lemming and hurt yourself and others.

I'm a libertarian, vegan, free market capitalist, bisexual, Christian. How much more non conformist can I be?

Not sure how you can accuse me of following the crowd.

You're bisexual? And I am supposed to believe this after you trashed a transexual? If you are then you should know the discrimination you just spewed in the other thread is wrong.

Oh and if you want to start a thread about "capitalism" I'd love to shred that myth too. You do know that Gaddafi was a billionaire don't you? Owned stock in GE. He loved the free market too. But he didn't like sharing it, that is the only difference. Capitalism is not a form of government. Dictators have to make money too to keep their power. A "free market" depends on anti monopoly laws being enforced, something "libertarians" are just as good at protecting us from as Repblicans. They are just Republicans on steroids. (But if you want to start a thread on that issue, I'll gladly take you on there).

You are young, and when you say "you have to go to the extremes to win", that is just as stupid a statement like when I started smoking because it looked cool to me.

Pushing yourself is one thing. I sometimes like to push myself to do certain things. But I do them for me, not because someone else is doing them. And moderation always helps no matter what you do.

I just want to know how he could physically eat a kilo of rice a day.

I couldn't physically eat that much.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

When I am doing hard training, I can go up to 1.5kilos. Your stomach stretches to accommodate the masses of food over time, not that you get a big belly, it just expands when it needs to.

It's a pretty cost effective way at getting energy, buying rice in bulk is dirt cheap.

I like women mostly, and would lay with a women as my life partner, but I also have an interest in men. You know what happens when you eat all of these carbs? you get horny. I am like jack rabbit in mating season, if people don't like it, that's okay, I am happy with myself.

If you want to make a thread about it, go. But I want this to be health/nutrition related.

There's nothing wrong in impressing people for the right reasons, sports is harmless at the end of the day and promotes fitness. I love competing, it's not that I am pushing myself to workout or do stuff, It's that I enjoy it.

I just got back from a 50 min run, now drinking organic orange juice to refuel my glucose- feeling great!

The way he talks I am not so sure it is a kilo of rice he is claims to consume. Bath salts maybe.

My lips are naturally ruby red- I believe it because I was such a ladies man in a past life, it rubbed off on my DNA.

+ Why are you copying my name? don't answer (this is a vegan thread)

No doubt, so much so you were probably more of a "lady" than a man.
