I liked to think I was a true christian, when I was one. I disagreed with most of the christians out there however; and I would bow my head and look down as they spoke and acted out policies that I did not agree with in the name of god. Perhaps I just grew up with extremist christians (although we have been to a wide spectrum of christian churches in 3 states), but either way they can all point to somewhere in the bible for their beliefs. I too thought they were acting upon the word differently than god intended--until I researched this word and its tenets in detail and realized they were right on with their beliefs. The bible does speak to what they believed, they were justified by it in their actions based on their beliefs. Don't believe me? Ask Drich, he's got it pretty down pat. I would always wonder if their consciences would catch up to them, but it would 'seem' as if they were fortified in their beliefs by their god. I'd wonder if it was the same god that I had grown up thinking I knew, or if I'm acting out beliefs on my own apart from god. In the end, I concluded after reading said bible without blinders on and learning that it's just a load of nonsense written by man--that if there is a creator out there it's not the one the christians represent, and I will find said creator outside of religion. Until/if I do, I'm going to start at zero and see where the actual evidence takes me. In my humble opinion, christians have their own selfish reasons for their delusions.

Drich doesn't have anything "down pat" and I'll forgive the delusion crack this time... Believe me when I tell you that all the crap they support as "law" can be easily contradicted using the same Bible they hold as "infallible". Why do you think that no Christian addresses the points I bring up?

Really? Have you asked them all? Or have you just gone by some internet statistics? I don't tend to believe everything the media or statistics tell me so I wouldn't actually know it just seems more people I meet tend not to believe in God or follow religion as it doesn't have the same significance it once did.

Eve if you can provide evidence however, if the bible is anything to go by as to the nature of that god, just throw me into hell or obliterate me now, because that is not a god I want to have any affiliation with. If responsability means ethnic cleansing, homophobia, misogyny and infanticide, then I want no part of it.

I think the fact as soon as a never option was added to this poll and it suddenly took over shows how insignificant Christianity is these days...

I just wonder why Christians would even want to sign up to this website, I wish they would respect that we do not believe what they believe and stop rubbing their religion in our faces. We do not care.
