RE: Russia and China said on Friday they would oppose any foreign military intervention in North Korea

I don't think that the Chinese particularly care what happens to North Korea. NK is essentially a rogue state even to them, and in fairness to China, NK is much closer to their sovereign soil than to most other people's. The similarity with the first Koren War int he 50's is accepted that China is more concerned about an additional foothold for western powers on its doorstep, and an issue of national pride in dealing with problems on its own turf.
The trend of Chinese foreign policy in its long history has been one of general border security, as opposed to overseas expansion and domination. They would simply be butthurt if Europe or America came and put down their neighbour's rabid dog instead of doing it themselves.
As for the Russian government, I think they generally just like to annoy the west as often as they can. Anything the Europeans or the US wants to do, Russia does the opposite.
If you believe it, question it. If you question it, get an answer. If you have an answer, does that answer satisfy reality? Does it satisfy you? Probably not. For no one else will agree with you, not really.

On the contrary, I think the Chinese care very much about North Korea not becoming an American satellite either directly, or through proxy in Soeul.
They have gone to war with the US and South Korea once before for this, I think they would go to war with the US and South Korea again to ensure no one else attain more influence over the North then they possess, and North Korea does not become more favorably disposed to the US or South Korea than to China.
I think there are only two ways to get the Chinese to give up North Korea without a war:
1. Destabilize China internally so its attention is too distracted
2. Give China strategic concessions comparable in value to an American base on Chinese border, close to the Chinese capital - Namely Taiwan and territorial claims in the South China sea.
