"Greetings, conversationalists across the fruited plain, this is Rush Limbaugh, the most dangerous man in America, with the largest hypothalamus in North America, serving humanity simply by opening my mouth, destined for my own wing in the Museum of Broadcasting, executing everything I do flawlessly with zero mistakes, doing this show with half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair because I have talent on loan from……God. Rush Limbaugh. A man. A legend. A way of life."
Why Does He Have 15 MILLION Listeners??
Data from the Pew Research Center offers some insight. A 2008 survey found that 80 percent of Limbaugh’s listeners identified themselves as “conservative,” compared to 35 percent of the total U.S. population. About three-quarters of his listeners are NRA supporters, compared to 40 percent of all Americans. The same proportion identify themselves as Tea Partiers and Christian Conservatives. Why do they listen to Limbaugh? In one survey, 37 percent said they tune in for opinion, but another 28 percent say they enjoy the blend of news, opinion, and entertainment. Among Republicans, 13 percent say they tune in to Limbaugh “regularly.” There’s one more interesting number to keep in mind, and after the events of this week, it will hardly come as a surprise: According to a 2009 survey, only 28 percent of Limbaugh’s audience is female—a smaller proportion than any other news source included in the questionnaire. He is featured on Armed Services Radio. Given the fact that the army is 24% Latino and 12% black, Limbaugh is offending more than a third of the enlisted soldiers.
Rush Limbaugh has acted as de facto spokesman for the Republican party, the self appointed voice of conservative broadcast, saying what they mean to say butt won’t say for fear of being deemed politically incorrect. Still the GOP has given him their approval. George Bush has appeared on Limbaugh’s show several times as has his brother Jeb. GOP Uncle Toms, Condoleezza Rice and Clarence Thomas have also appeared on his show as have Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow has not only appeared on Limbaugh’s show, but has been a replacement host for Limbaugh as has Matt Drudge.
Tonight I was wondering after reading one of the new members' posts-- just where do wacko's come from? Then I remembered this guy and found that he indeed has fifteen million listeners.
Is there any Republican brave enough who to criticize or acknowledge the racism and bigotry of Limbaugh or has the party traded in fiscal conservatism and family values for hatred and bigotry?

"— what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.
So, Ms. Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it, and I'll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."

“From this day forward, somebody propose it, liberals should not be allowed to buy guns. It’s just that simple. Liberals should have their speech controlled and not be allowed to buy guns. I mean if we want to get serious about this, if we want to face this head on, we’re gonna have to openly admit, liberals should not be allowed to buy guns, nor should they be allowed to use computer keyboards or typewriters, word processors or e-mails, and they should have their speech controlled. If we did those three or four things, I can’t tell you what a sane, calm, civil, fun-loving society we would have. Take guns out of the possession, out of the hands of liberals, take their typewriters and their keyboards away from ‘em, don’t let ‘em anywhere near a gun, and control their speech. You would wipe out 90% of the crime, 85 to 95% of the hate, and a hundred percent of the lies from society.”

“[S]ome people are self-starters, and some people are born lazy. Some people are born victims. Some people are just born to be slaves. Some people are born to put up with somebody else making every decision for them.”Rush Limbaugh, talking about economic inequality, October 8, 2010
“You know, one of the benefits of school being out, in addition to your kids losing weight because they’re starving to death out there because there’s no school meal being provided, one of the benefits of school being out, college campi being vacant this time of year, is that our audience levels go up. I think, you know what we’re going to do here, we’re going to start a feature on this program: “Where to find food.” For young demographics, where to find food. Now that school is out, where to find food. We can have a daily feature on this. And this will take us all the way through the summer. Where to find food. And, of course, the first will be: “Try your house.” It’s a thing called the refrigerator. You probably already know about it. Try looking there.”

A feminazi is a woman to whom the most important thing in life is seeing to it that as many abortions as possible are performed. Their unspoken reasoning is quite simple. Abortion is the single greatest avenue for militant women to exercise their quest for power and advance their belief that men aren’t necessary. Nothing matter but me, says the feminazi; the is an unviable tissue mass. Feminazis have adopted abortion as a kind of sacrament for their religion/politics of alienation and bitterness.”

“I think this reason why girls don’t do well on multiple choice tests goes all the way back to the Bible, all the way back to Genesis, Adam and Eve. God said, ‘All right, Eve, multiple choice or multiple orgasms, what’s it going to be?’ We all know what was chosen.”

“The worst of all of this is the lie that condoms really protect against AIDS. The condom failure rate can be as high as 20 percent. Would you get on a plane — or put your children on a plane — if one of five passengers would be killed on the flight? Well, the statistic holds for condoms, folks.”

“What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke [sic] who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex — what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.”
Opening his show on March 1, 2012 Limbaugh characterized the criticism of his comments as "a conniption fit," which he called "hilarious." He offered what he said was a "compromise" to contraception coverage: purchasing "all the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as possible."
March 1
He calls contraception coverage "flat-out thievery" for forcing taxpayers to pay to "satisfy the sexual habits of female law students at Georgetown."
As Media Matters further noted, "Limbaugh responded to those critics by saying that Fluke is "having so much sex, it's amazing she can still walk."" Congressional Democrats are condemning Rush's vitriol but so far Republicans have remained silent. Do any dare criticize Rush Limbaugh...especially Republican women?
Limbaugh read from a Washington Post blog post that reported Fluke had been interested in contraceptive coverage even before she enrolled at Georgetown. Because of this, Limbaugh declared, "She's a plant -- an anti-Catholic plant from the get-go on this."
Limbaugh went on to say that Fluke's testimony was part of a "Democrat plot" to "create a new welfare program and, at the same time, try to cast Republicans in an election year as anti-female." He described Fluke as "a woman who is happily presenting herself as an immoral, baseless, no-purpose-to-her life woman. She wants all the sex in the world whenever she wants it, all the time, no consequences. No responsibility for her behavior."
After considering the meaning of feminism, Limbaugh offered a definition of his "misogynist": "a man who hates women almost as much as women hate women." He clarified: "I do not hate women."

My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Limbaugh complained that Walmart was being treated unfairly, despite its commitment to helping provide the poor with healthy food. He then asked, "What is it with all of these young, single white women? Overeducated doesn't mean intelligent."

“Rush Limbaugh provides material support for terrorism”
Below is a photograph of one of the victims of the Lord’s Resistance Army, added by Colin Powell in December of 2001 to the official State Department list of terrorist organizations.
After President Obama sent 100 peacekeepers to Uganda to help get this truly loathsome crew under control, Rush Limbaugh ran the following headline:
OBAMA INVADES UGANDA,
TARGETS CHRISTIANS
Here’s the key paragraph from the story:
Lord’s Resistance Army are Christians. They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them.
He then proceeded to recite the LRA’s own propaganda as evidence of its pure intentions. That may not constitute “material support” for the LRA under the meaning of the statute, but morally Limbaugh has innocent blood on his hands. And why? Because his lunatic listeners love the idea that Barack Obama secretly hates Christianity.
Will any Republican Presidential candidate denounce this bit of mindless partisan outrage? Will any reporter ask any Republican Presidential candidate any pointed question about it?
No, I don’t think so, either.
No national Republican leader would dare refuse a summons from Limbaugh to appear on his show. That’s why all the discussion of what one or another Republican actually believes is so irrelevant. They’re all the slaves of the same insane movement.

“If homosexuality being inborn is what makes it acceptable, why does racism being inborn not make racism acceptable?” the talk show host asked. “I’m sorry — I mean, this is the way my mind works. But apparently now we don’t choose racism, we just are racists. We are born that way. We don’t choose it. So shouldn’t it be acceptable, excuse — this is according to the way the left thinks about things.”

Who actually supports what he so blatantly advocates? When the President (G. Bush), Vice President (D. Cheney), Vice Presidential candidates, Governors, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense Senators and Supreme court justices appear on the show of a hate spewing racist, sexist pig, it does not reflect well on their political party or country. Now I know the that's just the tip of the iceburg for 15 million Americans who listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
I hope he loses power, but I don't see it happening any time soon. There are way too many voices in the Republican party just as crazy as him, some even crazier. I worry that Limbaugh and his ilk are going to do to America what Islam did to the middle east.

Quote:On Tuesday, the Oklahoma Common Education committee considered HB 1674 — a House bill that would prevent teachers in science classes from penalizing students who contest evolutionary principles with untestable, faith-based claims.
It passed, 9-8.
Writes Dana Liebelson for Mother Jones:
Gus Blackwell, the Republican state representative who introduced the bill, insists that his legislation has nothing to do with religion; it simply encourages scientific exploration. "I proposed this bill because there are teachers and students who may be afraid of going against what they see in their textbooks," says Blackwell, who previously spent 20 years working for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. "A student has the freedom to write a paper that points out that highly complex life may not be explained by chance mutations."
HB 1674 goes further than a companion bill under consideration in the state Senate by explicitly protecting students, teachers, and schools from being penalized for subscribing to alternative theories. It does, however, say that children may still be tested on widely accepted theories such as anthropogenic climate change. "Students can't say because I don't believe in this, I don't want to learn it," Blackwell says. "They have to learn it in order to look at the weaknesses."

I believe it was Bill Maher who explained Limbaugh's appeal. "His job" noted Maher "is to scare blue collar white guys as they are getting in to their trucks that some one, blacks, gays, the French, is coming to steal the American dream from them."
Meanwhile, the republibertarianeo-conazis cunts have already stolen it but the bad part of being dumb is that you listen to shits like Limbaugh.
Probably for the same reasons that radical leftists like listening to crude obnoxious leftwingers like Ed Schultz.
