The New Covenant, written of in the New Testament. Surely you have heard of it? I admit the OT is harsh, and I'm glad that I don't live in those times. I don't pretend to understand the mind or will of God, but I am thankful that things changed. God is the Creator of life, so it is his to give and take away. Surely I can see that it was a harsh punishment, and yes, God did harden pharaoh's heart. He made and example out of him and egypt after he put to death every infant isrealite boy. The Isrealites were chosen by God as His favored people because Abraham was just enough in those horrific times to be righteous and live as Godly of a life as he could. So don't play sympathy on pharaoh when pharaoh struck the first murderous blow by killing all of the jew's infants. And what difference does it make if bats are birds or mammals? I don't care. And I certainly never referred to scientists as evil, now did I?
These are the commandments of your perfect god.
Instead of telling people to be nice to each other he tells them to rape, kill and torture.
Your god is a psychopathic lunatic.
And don't tell me he changed his mind because he is supposed to be perfect.
And as to the bats? it is very pertinent because he also appears to fail in having basic knowledge about his own fucking creation.
Well it looks as if you have it figured out.. why argue right? You obviously are the omnipotent one, and you obviously know more than God. Grats bro.

I'm sure you know it doesn't say that. Read Psalm chapter 91. That is true. For men and women and children and any who believe. I apologize here for sounding so rude. It is not my intention to be. Okay, to clarify, it says that if you worship God, you will be protected from evil, it does not directly say you will not get raped. It's much more easy to believe that it says that.
If this were true, it would only mean that your God would prefer to protect people from evil who worship him, rather than people who actually deserve protection. I will stand by my statement that this is petty of him.

You said eternal praiseworthiness (God) is more greater than anything on earth (ie. including earned praiseworthiness) and that he can bestow that gift (but no one has been worthy of it). I find it contradicting a little bit, that someone has to be worthy of being bestowed a gift and it being a gift at the same time, but since this a minor point, and is irrelevant to your disagreement to the premise "earned praiseworthiness is always greater than unearned praiseworthiness", it's not an issue.
There wasn't much reasoning provided as far I can tell as much as disagreement with the premise.

Do you not remember my comment in this thread:
If an individual strives hard enough to discover something that is not there, he will eventually convince himself that it is there. That is the only way for believers to have faith. They must delude themselves into believing that a god does exist. Rather sad, actually.
Do you honestly believe that is a healthy way to live?
I honestly believe that since I found God, my life has only gotten better and continues to everyday. I believe that you won't change your stance, and I will not either, regardless of what arguments you bring. Call it delusional if you wish and pump as much rationalization into it as you can. I believe in it for good reason, and I'm sorry that you don't, even though you don't care.

So, if you believes in a perfect place with a perfect God, earthly things would still be better than gifts from that place? And should God decide someone is worthy of then then ok, I just do not know any that I personally believe are worthy of it. Do you?

Do you think that you could provide a valid reason other than the comfort and good feelings it provides? Because in all honesty, there are plenty of healthier ways to find comfort and good feelings than the rabbit hole of religion.

And yet, true believers get raped and killed all the time.

Is this true? Or do studies show religion makes people happier?

Since God is omnipotent, wouldn't it be logical to assume that His judgement outranks ours? Rape is evil right?

Is it real happiness when it is based on a lie? I believe that true happiness is nearly impossible to attain and maintain. That is why people wear masks in public to hide how they are truly feeling. Have you seen some of the crazy, psychotic smiles that religious people have? That is not from real happiness. Those smiles are formed from delusions.

Hmmmm, trick question I suppose, to ask someone to prove a negative when you openly admit to not being able to prove the positive.
I'd be more than happy to show you the proofs against the Bible if you're up to it? This will require a question and answer portion which I'll start now.
Do you believe the Bible is infallible, inerrant, or some other variation of always correct?
