"Alleged", and the only place we see them are in the bible which you just now admitted was written after the fact, and no contemporary sources outside the bible confirm the claims in it. It never occurs to you that some people got inspired to start a cult and simply started one. One man or a group of people did start the cult of Christianity, but it does not make magic babies real or surviving rigor mortis real much less an invisible sky friend real.
We can prove George Washington existed but no sane person would claim he could fart a Lamborghini out of his ass. No sane person would claim he could cure blindness or heal an amputee.
The only thing finding the bones or DNA of a man named Jesus would do, is prove that a human started a cult. It would not prove any of the outrageous fantastic claims the book makes. That book also makes claims about women popping out of a man's rib. If you accept George Washington didn't give birth to a woman out of his rib, what makes any of that comic book you call a bible scientifically credible?

Wouldn't it be funny if they did find Jesus' bones (assuming he actually existed)? That would sure shoot holes in their resurrection myth.

"Alleged"...where do you get your facts? The news? Books? Other people? When have you broke out the slide rule and done some, any calulations on anything yourself? Talk about "sheep"!

I answered the video in a format in which the average atheist member is looking for a christian to respond. One that displays emotion and back with enough 'fact' to beg a legitmate response, but not so much as to to completely overwhelm/show my hand.
From this initial volley I get to decide (based on who responds and how they wish to approach the subject) how deep we need to go. Why do I do this? Because Aside from you, there have been no takers. Only personal attacks with little to no content concerning the actual topic.
I suspect it is because of my orginal assessment. Video watchers and quotes are not invested enough in thier own arguements to care. If there is to be a dialog it has to look like something one can be apart of with out a whole lot of effort.
That said if you want to go miniute by minute on each and everyone of these videos then I'll be happy to drop the pretense and put it all out there. Just know my efforts will mirror your own. Meaning so long as you are involved at 100% I too will give my best.
You're a liar, in addition to being a clueless wannabe. I doubt you're actually capable of artful deception, guile and manipulation. You're just making shit up to cover your ass.
No I will not engage you in an exchange of responses in kind because you are not capable of responding in kind. I respond with intelligence and well researched points, you respond with error ridden crap. It's not a fair exchange, and I'm not going to waste my time doing it. You lack the judgement, education, intelligence, and talent to engage in such a discussion. You're just another Dunning-Kruger who is not sufficiently competent to recognize that he's not sufficiently competent. Discussing the bible and Christianity with you is a waste of time because you believe yourself competent to discuss the subject, but you are not. So all that such discussions involve is correcting your mistakes, dealing with your obnoxious personality, and tracking down innumerable red herrings.
You are not worth the time.

I believe that Brian was referring to George Washington. In other words, we accept that he existed, but not that he did anything supernatural. Ergo, positing that there are references to a historical Jesus means only that a man named Jesus existed, not that he cured the blind or went to the moon in a space ship.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Yes, the key factor to consider here is that Flash Gordon is fictional.
On the other hand:
Carl Sagan Wrote:But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright Brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I've actually laughed at ol' Carl myself..."Billions and billions and billions!"
He always sounded like he was salivating! I wonder if he was thinking of lunch, or Venus?

Probably. Who doesn't?

Maybe I simply didn't dumb it down enough. Maybe someone needs a "See Spot Run" version, but I don't do children's books.
But in the interest of giving it another shot.
This tactic I used can be used for the Koran as well.
Even if we found the bones of Mohammed it still would not make divine revelation true or any fantastic claim in the Koran true nor would it make Allah a real god.
We can prove the Pharaohs existed but that never made the sun a thinking being which they falsely believed for 3,000 years.
Just like we know George Washington was real, but no sane person would claim he could fart a Lamborghini out of his ass.
Otherwise Superman flying like he does in the movies is true because we see him flying around the real New York City.

No, unfortunately the opposite would be true, they would simply be more intrenched and claim his body was a shell but his "spirit" is still alive.
Their bullshit logic works as soon as they say "God can do anything", that allows them to move the goalposts.
The Shroud of Turin is clearly fake but people still cling to that.
Even with the Shroud had been dated to that time all it would mean is a mere man was buried in it. It still would not make godsperm real or disembodied magical invisible super heros real.
