So if God told you to rape a little girl, would you do it? I mean if he asks you to do it and you do it, so its good right? Or if you don't do it, its evil? How exactly does this work? And don't dodge this question by saying: God would never ask me to do this. He told Abraham to kill his son, asking you to rape a little girl is not a stretch at all.
God 'told me' to follow the bible, before any personal revelations from "God." As the bible says "Rapin' is bad" I will not be raping any little girls.

Well done, you avoided the question again.
How exactly did god tell you to follow the bible? Did he appear before you? Did you hear a voice in your head? Or did he leave a message on a piece of toast?
Its weird, you say the bible says raping is bad, but it also encourages it quite a lot. It lets you know who you can own, how much you can buy and sell them for and how to treat them. Not to mention that part about selling your daughter as a sex slave.

I followed god, not man. I skipped around churches based on the level of spirituality I felt when going. I followed my heart based upon whom I considered god to be, not the words in a book (obviously). Although I was raised in a Christian School for part of my schooling, so I got to read the entire bible there too with a happy heart. Mind you, my life was far from happy. But I found happiness in helping others and sharing god with them. So that's what I did, for fun.
I believe anything I say, you'll have a rebuttal for quite frankly. In this case, me following my god rather than following god. Well, you'd be correct. I was definitely following a figment. Your rebuffs have been off every time. Keep trying to find a reason for me be excluded from your religious beliefs so you'll feel better about the fact that I did everything expected of me and found nothing. I'll wait.

.... Why do I need to say anything? You've done all the heavy lifting for me. You said you looked around going from church to church looking for your version of God/Spirituality...
I'm not here to talk about what you were doing. One of the things I am here to do is show the contrast between the God of the bible and the gods of our own making. Because if you can see that there is a difference between the God of the bible and the god of your own making (even if he is heavly based off of the bible) Then you might understand why you did not see God in your efforts. Why you had no confirmation or 'proof' of God. (Because like you said a God of your own making does not exist.)

Is it you experet opinion that everyone who calls them self christian actually are? Doesn't God have a say in the matter or do you think an all powerful God is bound by some chant/sinners prayer or ritual?
What about what Jesus said in Mt 7:21-23? Where those who call themselves christian and did many christian things call out to Jesus on that final day, and He says depart from me you evil doer I never knew you.

The God of one's own making is the only one that does exist, because it was man who created God and it is man who keeps God alive through imagination.

Because we have fairly detailed history of Egypt within the time period in question, dipshit. Egypt may have been declining as a world power - which, btw, is another blow to your fucking bible but we can overlook that for now - but it always existed. Armies kept attacking it. It kept defending itself - sometimes with more success than others - but there was never a time when the Egyptians were scattered throughout the lands.
That never happened. And you know what that makes your fucking bible, don't you? BULLSHIT.
What was the time table your working off of minnie?

So you're admitting that it's a false prophecy?

Hmm, God Of The Bible Is the God I worship, so How do you think He Communicates?? Or Maybe where do you think you should start to look for what The God of The Bible Wants You to do?

Maybe if you were an Old Testament Jew. As I am not the 'encouragement' you speak of does not apply. Remember two different religions are being repersented in the bible.

Again your thinking of OT Judaism.

But the NT means nothing without the OT.

Where do you read that?
I simply said it could not be a future event based on the current nations in the world. (Plus there was a time frame in which God spoke)

No, it is my "experet" opinion that Christians will quickly go to great lengths to discredit the sincerity and validity of an ex-Christian's beliefs rather than consider that their religion failed someone.
