I am not that great at mathematics, but I believe that
from wiki:
Quote:In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (the two sides that meet at a right angle).
Is true, but most things in math are true and somethings aren't true in math.

OK, but I already know what Pythagoras is.

The question was how we come from firing neurons to the concept of first person experience of the Pythygorean theorem. You may take some more time to answer this one.
(BTW: Do you think the Pythygorean theorem is
absolutely true?)

I think it is only true in the rare cases when the triangle only has three sides and one of the angles is exactly 90 degrees. If the triangle has more or less sides than three then the pythygorean theorem falls on its face! Think about a triangle with two hypoteneuses! That out to make your thoughts furious while they gimbel in the wabe!
Rhizo
Well, Rhizo not even under the conditions you propose it is absolutely true, for in a curved space the theorem no longer holds. The Pythagorean theorem under water assumes Euclidean geometry, i.e. uncurved space.

Obviously Maths are a ploy by our reptilian overlords! Xenu be praised for his efforts! Hey rabbit could you pass me the space bender? I found some straight space that could use a curve.
Thanks,
Rhizo

Why the mighty overlord would stomp your reptillian overloards! It will be up to Xenu to win this fight! And would that be a cosmic blender Rhizo?

I think I may have curved space a little too much yesterday 'cause I feel like a singularity today. If you're big enough you can bend space with your own weight Rhizo, just try it.
