It is not a matter of debate, they were/are talented. Not liking their motif or lyrics does not mean they were not good at what they did. It just means you don't like them. But keep it up, every argument against them is advertisement for them.

As for the rest of it, no: I said, they are a generic, formulaic pop band that never once demonstrated any sort of complex musicality or deep, out-of-the-box lyrics. These are facts. Whether or not you like what they have produced, is up to you. So, they don't suck because I don't like them. I don't like them because, according to what they've done in the music industry, they suck.

You couldn't accept criticism of them. Of course you can't. Don't worry, I don't blame you. When you're a passionate fan of something or you're passionate about something, the opposition rarely phases you. (cue back my comparison of fans of music to followers of religion)

Pop gets a bad rap. I am dead serious, ABBA is a victim of their success, got too stereotyped.

They have so many influences and had them prior to forming the group. You cant go by just their hits. You have to include all their songs, and their pre band and solo carreers and remakes from CLASSSICAL AND RAVE AND METAL, to understand how huge they are.

ABBA WERE TALENTED. There is no debate. There are only haters.
