No verifiable evidence is the Christian position
August 10, 2013 at 3:13 pm
(This post was last modified: August 10, 2013 at 3:14 pm by fr0d0.)
This thread is a huge thank you to all non Christians who support us Christians (and possibly all theists) by constantly banging on about there not being any verifiable evidence of God.
No matter how many times you say it, there are still people out there with other idiotic ideas about there being verifiable evidence.
So thanks a lot guys, your support it very much appreciated!

What? No thank you for arguing faith is unfounded?

And I'd like to thank you for acknowledging that your beliefs are irrational and unfounded. Now that we all agree, can we further stipulate that future efforts at converting people be confined to their proper place: asylums?

We internationally and cross-culturally agree that hearing voices in one's head is crazy. However, when these voices are attributed to God, that's the only time when it's okay. Take God out of the equation, and all we're left with is over 90% over our population with floating voices telling them what to do. We're fucked.

Yep.
Can't distinguish between an existent god that does not produce any verifiable evidence, and a nonexistent god.
And.... that would then make it irrational and unfounded to believe in such a god.
Then we are in agreement.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Not me! I'm just an audience member watching you divas try to out-sing each other.
BTW, I also enjoy train wrecks, reading obituaries and long strolls on the beach.

By the other bit, do you mean this, "Can't distinguish between an existent god that does not produce any verifiable evidence, and a nonexistent god."
Yeah, that was the IMPORTANT bit. The bit that I want to know how to resolve.
Seriously, how am I, a nonbeliever, able to differentiate between an existence god that does not leave verifiable evidence, and a nonexistent god?
