Why do religious people log onto this site?

Why do religious people log onto this site?
I am very curious as to why non-atheists frequent this site and others like it. I will list a few reasons why they might, but I cannot know for sure since I can never "think" like them.

1. They are questioning their own beliefs.

2. They were shunned by their own-kind and they are now seeking refuge.

3. They are inebriated and thinking more clearly.

4. There is hope in their hearts that they will actually find someone to brain-wash? A stupid atheist? What has a better chance of existing? A god or a dumb atheist?

5. To quote the bible to us, because their own kids think that they are completely insane.

6. Looking for an intelligent conversation after the lame sermon they just experienced. Too bad it takes two to tongue-tangle.

7. They cannot afford the cover-charge at their local church.

Hi non-atheists, why do you log-on to atheistforums.org?

Thanks and please take care.

8. Martyr complex. They think they will get brownie points from their godboy for defending the faith.

9. Jealous(?). They wish they could live a progressive life like We do.

10. Souls to save.

Never mind that no one can demonstrate a soul or its need for saving.

I don't know why, and when I was religious I would never have even approached a site like this. Major spiritual cooties, dontcha know.

However, I'm glad that they do. Can't have active discussion without someone willing to take the opposite side of the argument(s).
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

11. Attack the opposition/minority. Usually though, reading fictional stories is not as affective as terrorizing communities with violence.

13. Egg us on so we become preachy freaks and take over the world. What would happen if there were buildings on the corners of every street where people could go every day but Sunday and atheists in dresses jam truths down the people's necks? We need to rest too.

Hi atheist, I came here to strengthen what I believe and having success in doing so, but man you've gotten of to a rough start 0 for seven.

Smile GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

GC, why do you need to strengthen your belief? And, especially, why would you need a bunch of atheists to help you do that? Shouldn't God be sufficient?
