Measles Outbreak at Vaccine-Denying Church
RE: Measles Outbreak at Vaccine-Denying Church
The funny thing is, and nobody has mentioned it yet, is that Drich believes that you should love and worship an all-powerful deity because he gives you a terrible disease.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Again because they are not standing in 'Fox holes' being shot at.

Do you think it's reasonable to expect them to take a group photo when they're actually being shot at?

If you're going to be that literal, there aren't any Christians in foxholes either, (or 'freakin' holes', as my brother calls them). Aphorisms aren't facts.

Those 'd-bags' volunteered to put their lives on the line to protect your country. That's true even if they've never been under fire, which is total speculation on your part based on NOTHING but your desire for it to not be so.

Probably about the same as the percentage of Christians who are planning planning to touch base with Allah and Vishnu on their deathbeds just to cover their bases when/if they're are given the chance.

yes.

Using your standard of evidence, I conclude there are no theists in foxholes. I've never seen a picture of theists under fire holding a sign that says they're theists, and so many people say they're theists that they've had, like, twenty times more opportunity to do so than atheists have had: and not one has done it.

Seems to me that theists have a hard time believing in God when they're in a foxhole, and by Drich standards that's all I need to consider any soldiers that might try to contradict me d-bags unless they're actually getting shot at when they try to prove me wrong.

What does this flag waving have to do with ANYTHING I SAID???

You mean besides you calling American soldiers d-bags and engaging in wild speculation about them for holding a sign that means they don't believe what you do?

Nothing. That was pretty much it. I know that kind of pissing on soldiers might go over on a Christian site where patriotism goes out the window once you find out someone is an atheist, but calling soldiers names for holding up a sign that said they're Christians wouldn't go over well here either. A lot of us are vets. I'm one. I've got a step-brother and two of my nephews over there. I imagine most people have someone over there.

It's almost impossilbe to imagine how little empathy someone would have to have not to know how open contempt for these soldiers would go over.

The 'd-bags' are 'd-bags' because they are in a 'safe' place well outside of harms way posing for a picture that implies they are in harms way.

I am not going to get into a who has served this country more, but there is a standing contempt for enlisted guys who 'pose' for crap like that. My whole family is military (except for my dad who was/is an old hippy.) all combat vets, (enlisted and comissioned officers) my mother's side of the family came to the US because her sister was a 'war bride' from korea. I get it. what you do not seem to 'get' is not everyone who wears a uniform is indeed worthy of the same respect as those who go 'over there' and do indeed put themselves in harms way. Any guy who is indeed in the rear with the gear who looks to be respected as a combat vets is the worst of the worst. 99% of anyone who has served up hold a place of great honor for actual combat vets. they themselves would never classify themselves as being cut from that cloth. To do so would sully what combat vets have done for this country.

If you want to discuss this particular photo again I will be happy to show you (again) how these guys have repersented themselves as being in harms way when clearly they were not.

Again I don't know what happened before or after this photo was taken, but at that moment, they were simply posing. They were not what they were pretending to be. This would be like an 'actor' who flew into india hati or Japan after their disasters a week or two into the work relief, and 'posing' near the aid station so as to look like they are really working, but not actually have to go out in the 'stuff' and do any of the undesireable work.

Even actors know that to compare their 'posing' to what the actual relief workers do is not on the same scale, and most of the lessor d-bag actors who do pose for photos like that will not compare themselves to those who are in the heart breaking stuff for weeks at a time.

Those weren't actors, brainiac. When actual relief workers pose for a picture, that doesn't make them 'd-bags'.

Could you imagine a bank agreeing to loan you money by telling them that the proof that you are able to repay the loan will be you repaying the loan? No?

I guess now we know why Christians were originally forbidden from the moneylending trade.

I promise you, Drich, that if anyone can convince me they speak for god, and I can deem that god worthy of giving myself to it, I will. The problem is that everyone who is purportedly able to do so has nothing but nonsense like the bible to back it up.

And what is this philosophy of emptiness of which you speak? I know not to what you are referring.

No Spicoli, you don't get it.

I am saying if you do not think you would ask God to spare your life when face with a terrible disease like aids, I am asking you to allow me to pray that God strike you down with aids, cancer or whatever it takes for you to beg and or grovel for your life. Why?To simply prove the point that there are no atheist when you are staring down the barrel of eternity. That is how I know those 'elite controllers' were healed. Because I know they prayed. Even the ones who thought they were atheist.

I'm not just talking about " a bad day, week, month, or even year." Again the offer is if you think you can, you will stand firm in your beliefs and not beg for mercy/life just say the word, and I will ask God to infect you with something or place you in a situation where you can find out for yourself.

Not a terrible life. A deadly disease. Or to be put in a life and death situation. There is nothing I am offering to do for you that I have not already prayed for myself. In that, a long time ago I asked God to do whatever it took, even if it meant my life, to help me see and understand Him. I now offer that on your behalf for you. Not as a curse but an opportunity to not only know yourself, but in the journey to get to know God.

For he who cherishes his life above all else will loose it. And he who forsakes his life for Christ will gain eternal life.

Just know I generally get what I pray for.

Ohhh Drich. I know I'm late to the party here, but.. Fuck if I don't have a thing or two to say about this.
First off: Pray for me. Pray hard and long. Pray that I'm taken the fuck down with yet another deadly disease, sir. Do it.

Secondly, I've looked down that barrel many a time, and I have to say that actually doing that, is what made me an athiest.
But hey, what do I know eh? I'm just another human being with an opposing viewpoint to yours, based on my own testimony of my own experiences.
You'll just toss me out of your considerations won't you? I'd like to refer you to this little gem, written on the walls of a concentration camp.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Which one? (Which camp?)

What was it written on? Looks like stone? Do you know what the penalty was for spreading Jewish propaganda (writting anything down in a camp) was? So, why would they spend hours carving this? What was used as the red pigment? What was used for the black? How did a prisoner who was stripped of all of their belongings come across a sharp instrument to first inscribe in what looks like stone, and then take the time to color it? And why was so much time put into writting it in a language that no one at the camp could read? (Remember the guards are German and most of the prisoners are Jewish/polish or even Germans themselves, not English.) also why was so much time taken to mimic Hebrew characters? Especially when no one would be able to read this message?

Oh and the most important question you should have asked is what is fbcdn.net??? Because they are the Internet tracking company how appearently create stupid crap like this to see how many anti God people are so desperate to hate God, that they are not willing to ask any of the basic question I posted above, just so they can mindlessly cut and paste their propaganda to speak/think for them.

But all of that aside, good job missy, thanks for chiming in.
