I've never really understood the "spiritual, but not religious" claim. OK, so you believe in a higher power but you don't actively worship it, or something?

I know so many people who make that claim. Most of them are on a serious hippy-trip. It doesn't surprise me that there is a higher rate of mental illness and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it had to do with drug consumption. LSD, Mushrooms and even weed seem to give some people 'spiritual feelings.' They also lead to mental health problems. Not a big mystery or surprise to me.

Isn't that kinda like in the 70s when everyone claimed they were "bisexual" just because that let you say you weren't "all the way" gay?
