Let me break this down even further for you with my own little translation.
"The heathens (disbelievers) did not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn, for he unseamed them and made everything from water? As they live do they not believe?"
So you have to believe (or have faith) in order to see how God actually had sewn everything together, but then he unseamed it all. No reference to expanding it or strewing the bits and pieces about. And then what's this little bit about everything being made from water? Even YOU should call bullshit on that. Compared to everything the universe is made up of, water seems to be one of the least.
I see how you've clearly picked one of the oldest English translations of the Quran.
Language, how words are used and meanings change over time, and you know that
Stop trying to be clever

And a pedophile prophet is so much more civilized.
'pedophile, pedophile, pedophile' - the only thing you know about Islam
He was better than you guys will ever be, maybe you should read his history

I'm not especially fascinated by pedophiles.

I grew up as a nonmuslim in a muslim country. You really want to tell me how peaceful Islam is? Maybe you need to read some real history.

Funny how you can't elaborate beyond that.

You need to stop worrying about Islam for now and solve your own problems
In the US, a woman is raped every 2 minutes
Maybe time to adopt the hijab? Loooool

Not everyone here is from the US and why don't you so kindly tell us the country you are from so we may see rape statistics?

Just a few months back a 13 year old girl was allowed to marry a 40+ year old man just because he raped her. She became his 2nd wife. This is in Malaysia, the muslim country frequently quoted as the "moderate one who got it right". Islam has been my problem and will continue to be my problem as long as Shariah court continues to exist in my home country.

Here you go. As you should know, a muslim marriage gets their marriage certificate from the Shariah court. This is what your religion agrees to.
There was even a period of time where they weren't sure if they were going to prosecute the rape because he married her. This isn't a big case by the way, happens pretty often.
If I had a penny every time the paper publishes some politician saying school uniforms are what causes rape. You should try living in a muslim country. The feeling of disgust stays with you even after you leave.
Edit: My point was, you don't get rape statistics in muslim countries because rape is legal under shariah. Wives cannot deny husbands sex. They can marry their rape victims and often get away with any prosecution at all. Pedophilia is obviously allowed. And of course, polygamy. So it's very funny when you try to make it sound like Islam has the solution to rape.

Clearly you missed the part where I said it was my own translation.

I don't even have to try; the verse did all the work for me.
Those words translate into English the same way they did hundreds of years ago. Are you saying that the meaning of the words originally orated by Mohammed were changed over time in the actual Arabic text?

So tell me, Yoleeena, if nothing can come from nothing where did your god come from? If you're prepared to say a god always existed then I'm content to say that the universe always came from prior conditions .. whatever they may be. Why shouldn't there always be prior conditions? If a god can hide out in nothing, I don't think prior conditions would have any trouble doing so.
Why dont you just read what I wrote?! Its honestly not that hard...
Ill say it once more
God created the universe via the Big Bang, and one of the things created was TIME, read the properly, it says T-I-M-E. This is was moves the human being from the point of BIRTH to the point of DEATH. So, because God created this thing it means he is not affected by it (time) and he is not bounded by it. Therefore, God does not have a BEGINNING nor an END, so He has always been there, so this means he wasn't created
I hope I dont have to repeat that.
It certainly is not worth repeating. Can you really understand what it is to create time? What would that look like? And yet you believe there is a genie no one can see or touch that did just that. You should listen to what you're saying.
God creates time and is not bound by it .. why? Because you have defined him that way. Never mind that it makes no sense at all. You have your definition so it must be true. It really is kind of nutty but believe what you like. No skin off my patootie.
