What is the origin of the universe and man?
Two very different questions in one... Two very complex questions in one.
Are you sure you want to keep them in one?
The origin of the Universe? who knows? There seems to have been a "big bang" that kick-started the expansion thing... but where did all this matter come from and what made it go bang?... don't know. No one knows, that I'm aware of... We'll know, when it is discovered. Until then, we can't really say anything.
The origin of man? this is a very cleverly concealed secret. shhhh
man is born from the mother.

What is the purpose of wolfkind?
What is the purpose of virus?
What is the purpose of fungi?
What is the purpose of giraffes?
Survive, reproduce, survive.

Activation of pleasure centers in the brain... push the right buttons and you get there.
Each person's buttons are different.

Overpopulation.

Depends on the problem, really, doesn't it?
Spilled milk? time to get a mop.
Killed a man? go to jail.
Didn't do your homework? study harder or get a job at McDonald's.

It's both!
Wrap your head around that one!
Relative to the society.
Absolute to the individual, given as it's defined by the society around him.

Universal? can't say...
At least, on this planet... no.
Some people think it's moral to kill disobedient children.
Some don't.

I think you need a biology book.
Neurons stop firing and maintenance on the body stops... the life-long war of our body against bacteria and viruses finally tips in favor of them... we decompose.

I can't really say I understand this question...
I can try to interpret it as "how do you explain the life of Jesus in an atheist context?"... did I get it right?
As in... "how do you explain miracles performed by Jesus, if there's no god?", huh?
How do you explain the miracles performed by Houdini, if there's no god?
How do you explain the yogini levitation miracle witnessed by millions of people all around the world, if there's no god?
Are those feats actual miracles?
Is the audience capable of telling reality apart from their desires?
Are the stories true to begin with?
