Time for diet and exercise!
#51
RE: Time for diet and exercise!
I have moved down a belt notch this week. I also had my first takeaway of the year yesterday - a rye mountain-bread veggie wrap, I still haven't had any real bread yet all year. Yesterday was also my 3rd "vegetarian day" of the year so far. Will post back tomorrow...

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Week 1: 84 --> 82.2 kilos. I lost 1.8 kilos.

So far this year I have not missed a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner).

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

RE: Time for diet and exercise!
I started my half-marathon training back up this morning. I've got my training plan all printed out, I'm signed up for my gym class and I'm back to haunting weather.com to plan the days when it's not raining so I can run outside.

I've also finally gotten off sugary breakfast cereals which I count as a major accomplishment (I LOVE cinnamon toast crunch).
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.

RE: Time for diet and exercise!
As I mentioned I'm putting this week down as a gap week. 3 or 4 days of 40 degree temps makes for Beer season and I think I'll share this dieting secret with everyone: it's perfectly fine to take a break from your diet, just decided that you're doing it and when you will continue on with the diet. Some people "give up" on their diets altogether if they have a day or two of binging, that's just silly!

Calories last week were way above 1200/day and in truth were more like 3000-4000/day. However I didn't completely overdo it:

Week 1: 84 --> 82.2 kilos. I lost 1.8 kilos.
Week 2: 82.2 --> 81.4 kilos. I lost 0.8 kilos.
Gap Week: 81.4 --> 81.0 kilos. I lost 0.4 kilos.

A few 'paychecks' down, and now I'm ready to start financially supporting my lover year round. I'm also transitioning to cooking. Combined, I should be able to get him off of fatty fast food, and eventually into slimmer pants. Learning that he gained weight since I met him hit me home (hell, how could I know these things?).

Good luck, aractus.
