Get one, even a good one is cheap. They were a successful rally car, known as "The poor man's BMW". There was an urban myth(?) they were a reverse engineered BMW. I only got rid of mine due to body rust after 10 years. I wanted to put in a new long motor , gear box , suspension and brakes. At the time, roughly what I'd originally paid for it new ($2300). A spiffo new paint job would have cost another $500..

I'm the proud owner of two V8 Fords and a Yamaha FZ1 Fazer(the 16th bike I've owned)
And I'm a qualified heavy diesel mechanic.
So yes, you could say I'm a bit of a gearhead.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

I also do maintenance on my friends' bikes, a CBR 600, a custom bobber, and a Yamaha R6.
The Ford V8s, are they the ones with Garrett turbos, or Holset turbos?

I'm more into bikes and had a XT600 Tenere on the farm which was great fun. I've done a fair bit on DIY on the bike and other vehicles but definately not on the same scale as you!
PS: I just read a book called "Rockers and Rollers" by Bryan Johnson (the AC/DC lead singer). He's and absolute car nut and most of the book is about cars. He's got some brilliant one liners that had me laughing non-stop

Neither in fact.
One is a "92 LTD with a 302 Windsor and the other is a "02 BA Falcon ute with a 5.4l
OHC 3valve V8.

Whoa, I must have had a brain fart, I though you were talking about Ford V8 turbodiesels for some weird reason.
I wish we had utes here in the states. I always wanted a pickup truck as low as a car and with an LS1 or something in it. I also think the 4.0L Falcon Turbo engine is awesome, but I've never actually seen it in action or heard reviews. I just know it has a GT40 turbo attached to it from the factory.

Just had an overwhelming desire to post a piccy of the engine from my Lexus GS300. Not bad for 147,000 miles.
