Are you doing something when you hear it? For example, are you always walking around? Or reading? Do you have ear buds in when you hear it? Are you hearing the same noise at work and at home? Do you have an electronic device on or near you when you hear it? Is it the same device in every instance? (Could you accidentally be activating the voice command on your phone?)

I would hear phantom music in my house at really random, unpredictable times and I could never figure out where it was coming from - until my mom started up her computer and it went away. It turned out to be the music that played when her laptop went to screensaver.

I also used to hear someone shouting or the phone ringing whenever I was on the computer and listening to music until I realized that it happened every time that song played at the same moment in the song.

I also generally hear my name being called when I'm at the store. I'm just hearing things there.

Your sinuses are playing up? How is the coffee intake?

Get weird auditory episodes when I've over done the coffee consumption or my sinuses are playing up. I think "stupid brain, interpreting nerve pressure for a sound."

Right now? Sinuses are playing up and I have had no where near the amount of coffee needed to be awake.
