It is the way they think, DBP. And they are correct.

Reality has a subtle way of infuriating those who choose delusion over fact. The more "Fundamental" the belief the more it contrasts with what we KNOW to be true and the only counter they have is "Lol conspiracy" when the facts are laid out. But the more you look at the facts the more you wonder what if all this evidence is true. That is why creationists are so active now they are losing the war and know it. That cannot control the flow of information when all the knowledge in the world is a google search away.

Christianity needs to man up and understand that in this day and age everything is going to be criticized. It's not even a direct attack on religion and already the oppressors are trying to once again play the victim.

I have no problem whatsoever with the undertones. The problem I have is with mindless people who are blind to there existence. I hope they are not this unobservant as they navigate the rest of reality.

True, they might end up like the theists.

I find that most atheists are just as bad as most theist at failing at identifying when they are being fed an agenda.

And I am not saying there is something wrong about pushing an agenda...even if you employ undertones to do it. Persuasion is how we grow. What is wrong...what is sad really.....is for a reasonably bright person to not recognize it.

I'll admit that being anti-religion falls within the purview of being anti-ignorance. Deal? Big Grin

Again, I'll point out that pointing out the shitty things that religion has done, and continues to do in order to hamper science is not necessarily anti-religious.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
