If you lived in Jesus' day, how would you of responded?
RE: If you lived in Jesus' day, how would you of responded?
Obviously I would have believed him through witnessing those things. I would have lived in a time where the theory of evolution and such things was non existent and unimaginable. Anyone who claims they would have thought otherwise is deluded.

I don't know your age so you mightn't be old enough to remember this. If you do remember it, how did you react to the news? If you aren't old enough, how do you think you'd have reacted to it if you'd been around then?

Hindu Milk Miracle

Quote:The purported incident started on 21 September 1995.[1] Before dawn, a Hindu worshipper at a temple in south New Delhi made an offering of milk to a statue of Ganesha. When a spoonful of milk from the bowl was held up to the trunk of the statue, the liquid was seen to disappear, apparently taken in by the idol. Word of the event spread quickly, and by mid-morning it was found that statues of the entire Hindu pantheon in temples all over India were taking in milk.

By noon the news had spread beyond India, and Hindu temples in the United Kingdom, Canada, UAE, and Nepal among other countries had successfully replicated the phenomenon, and the Vishva Hindu Parishad (an Indian Hindu organisation) had announced that a miracle was occurring. In the USA, it was observed at the Hindu Temple Society of North America (Ganesh Temple).

The reported miracle had a significant effect on the areas around major temples; vehicle and pedestrian traffic in New Delhi was dense enough to create a gridlock lasting until late in the evening. Many stores in areas with significant Hindu communities saw a massive jump in sales of milk, with one Gateway store in England selling over 25,000 pints of milk,[3] and overall milk sales in New Delhi jumped over 30%.[4] Many minor temples struggled to deal with the vast increase in numbers, and queues spilled out into the streets, reaching distances of over a mile.

Has anyone ever found a rational explanation of how this happened?

Here's a rational explanation from the Indian Express website.

Idols 'drinking' milk is pure science

Let's say that Jesus really did live and the Scriptures report what people said they saw. Does that automatically mean that these things really did happen or could it simply be the case that people thought they'd happened?

Same here. After all, I wouldn't have my 21st century worldview if I'd been living back then.

You have to realize that to anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus, this question is akin to asking us "how would you have responded if you lived in Merlin's day?".

Assuming either case involves me witnessing some awesome magic, I imagine I would have been fairly impressed.

I would say something like, "Hey Boss, you better make that recorded by the historian of today. You surely know that in the future all this walking in water and coming back from the dead will be a great topic. Foresight Boss, foresight"
