I can think of a lot of terribly rude things without ever outright swearing, too. It's part of the problem with privileging certain special magic swearwords; with the proper intersections of meaning, pretty much anything you say can become terrible.

You say this as though they aren't? I have yet to see where the rules or the big wigs encourage forum members to be obnoxious, vulgar, or offensive. Ive seen many accounts banned for that including my own.
