Ah, then what great pride you share with the human race, who praises none other than itself for its accomplishments.

Are you fucking stupid??

We've just spent multiple pages detailing exactly why we hate the vile institution that is the church and you have the audacity to say this!

Have you not read one fucking thing we've said??

Obviously the answer to your question is "yes," Z/B.

A believer has to be pretty dull if they think they can just march in here and win a 1-on-10 debate against the dimwitted atheists.

Good stuff.

This debate always seems to come down to attribution.

Atheist: That there are good Catholics is testimony that there are good people, but Catholic beliefs and/or ecclesiastics are responsible for the bad.

Believer: That there are bad Catholics is testimony that there are bad people, but Catholic beliefs and/or ecclesiastics are responsible for the good.

I'm waiting for Hitchens to elaborate on how torture was legalized during the counter-reformation.

No, I believe you fellows put up quite a match, and you aren't even the best, yet neither am I. You all seem to be quite short-tempered however, and that is a weakness a greater person could easily expose.

I just don't see how on earth you can throw out all the rest of the water in the tub if some is dirty. I understand that the actions were bad, and I am not trying to justify the actions. I am merely defending my Church from attack and misconceptions/ill-focus by the entire world. 9/10 people think "child abuse" when they hear the word "Catholic". Why can people not learn to move past that. Pope Francis and the Church have made it clear that to obsess with these measures and to not focus on the Truth it a problem for both Catholics and non-Catholics. That's the only hand you all have to play. I say anything and you cuss me out and allude to child abuse. What about the Sacraments, what about Doctrine? Come on.

Irrelevent and nonsensical, especially in contrast to the overall harm religion daily does in this world.

People with a hot temper do foolish things, and say them as well.

The ball has been on your court for three quarters, let's finish the game on my court. Sacraments, teaching, ect. Let's open up the conversation if you are willing.

Cursing can be done without being hot-tempered.
