If ghosts existed and could actually be captured photographically, their existence would not even be in question. Photography is a 170 year-old practice.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

Well, it's something that you accept as a sufficient reason to believe. But you have an immense blind spot in your rationality when it comes to the bible, and you special plead in a very low burden of proof for that, that you wouldn't accept for similar claims from other places. I'm afraid a person who doesn't preserve their beliefs through logical fallacies, who has a consistent set of beliefs, will also have a much higher expectation of evidence for all claims.

A bible quote is a good reason for you, because you've already accepted the bible to be true based on no evidence but your own personal revelation. I haven't had that revelation, and I don't see yours as sufficient for belief, and when I asked you for a reason to believe what you just claimed, you couldn't even give that.

That's troubling. Thinking

You say gravity exists but you can't see it!
You can feel its effects only.

I can feel the effect of god in my heart, so even though I cannot see him, he too must also be real! so there! na na nana na!

Don't give them another wrong tree to bark up! Tongue

Just in case someone was actually going to use that argument, please note than none of us ever said "see," we said evidence.

Hmmm... is Rev saying that these photographs are physical evidence of the supernatural?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
