What's fucked up about articles and associated sentiment like that found in the OP is that the outrage is tragically misplaced. Instead of citing another example of apparent lethal police abuse in order to add momentum to growing disatisfaction with an out of control police state, some simply cry about a difference in the extent of media coverage. I guarantee if the Utah shooting resulted in protests of thousands instead of a few dozen the media would have an equally large presence.

The protesters did not show up till a few days later (they were bussed in from different parts of the country.)
Sometime after the media coverage.

I simply think most people assumed in the black officer shooting case that he was simply justified... That somehow a black cop shooting a whiteish suspect has the magical power of proper discernment that a white cop shooting a guy who beat the snot out of him does not have...

That and white people do not have self appointed 'white social leaders' who look to cash in on the death of some scumbag who was killed because he was a danger to an arresting officer or other people.

In my opinion, after Trayvon Martin, this was going to happen somewhere, somehow. Doesn't matter what happened.. The players were set and the board was ready for attack. Drama queens with money (Al Sharpton) were prepared for this, but that doesn't change the fact that the reason for this is fully Trayvon Martins' injustice and subsequent embarrassingly incriminating actions of his shooter post trial. From how it looks on the news, that shooter is treated like a celebrity, and funded by racists and gun lobbyists as their champion. I'd be pissed, too. I'd raise hell, too. There's something wrong here and it isn't blacks or whites, its justice, and the lack thereof. Whose buying these injustices? Whose letting them? Why?

Race has a lot to do with the separation of social classes. One only needs to read an American history text to witness the injustices that have long plagued minorities in the U.S., and continue to do so. Look at the education and prison systems as they relate to whites and blacks, not to mention the housing market, which for many years worked to keep blacks out of affluent, white communities.

That's the thing though isn't it? I am who I am and it all gets put out on page, good bad or indifferent. I have said a lot of very unpopular things the last few days, and despite pages of heated dialog it never even approached that boil over point.

At the same time if my say has any bearing on what is allowed to be said about me or mine, I would just as soon as let it go. I actually didn't even think about it till I read your post, and you said the wife was an inactive member.. I read chucks post and originally just commented on the relevant info, and discarded the rest. What he said were just angry words, because he cant get anywhere with someone who he thinks he should be able to dominate. If he needs to blow off some steam because I made him look foolish then let him. They are only words and only have the power we assign them.

If you make a big deal about it, then I feel like I have to make a big deal about it and I'd just as soon get on making a monkey out of chuck when and where I can.

After watching the above video, I think he got what he disserved.

I do not disagree with the primise. Just the conclusion.

I do not think Zimmerman (another halfies) was wrong in what he did. I do however do not agree with all the celebrity status put on and accepted by him for killing treyvon. The act was sanctioned by fl law, end of story. The actions taken by Zimmerman and those who supported him has set the stage for this mike brown mess.(you are right)

if/ When the cop gets off for shooting brown, it will be one more barrel of TNT for then next king,Martin,brown 'justified' riot... I have a bad feeling a lot of people will be killed in that one.
