I like jokes that are funny. I like dark humor. I think context is important. Like if it's a joke thread then you know people are joking and it's funny. Or if it's a comedy show then yea. If it's a funeral maybe not, but I'd still have a hard time not finding it amusing if the joke is legitimately funny. My sister says "that's so gay" when she thinks something is stupid or lame all the time, she's a lesbian, I'm pretty sure she's not offended by it.
Jewish people telling Jewish jokes is fine, there were plenty of Jews at the school I went to and the jokes were OK. Gay people telling gay jokes, black people calling each other the 'n' word, that's all OK. It's when others do it with malicious intent or even without thinking that it becomes insulting. The best thing would be to stay away from it.
I have to disagree with you here. Funny jokes are always funny so long as they're not told with a malicious intent. And calling someone "nigger" or "nigga" is always stupid even if you're black.

I gotta agree with Losty here. Next time you see a big name comedian (Louis CK, Chris Rock, Ricky Gervais) take a look around at the audience-- all walks of life that paid money and wanted to hear one type of guy say things.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

Yes. As it should be.

More than seven decades after beginning their relationship, Vivian Boyack and Alice “Nonie” Dubes got married.
Boyack, 91, and Dubes, 90, sat next to each other during Saturday’s ceremony, the Quad City Times reports.
“This is a celebration of something that should have happened a very long time ago,” the Rev Linda Hunsaker told the small group of close friends and family who attended.
The women met in their hometown of Yale, Iowa, while growing up. Then they moved to Davenport in 1947 where Boyack taught school and Dubes did payroll work.

What a lovely story.
I saw that yesterday on FB. I'm not one for sappy stories but that one is just absolutely precious.
"Yes, I am a Free Lover. I have an inalienable, constitutional and natural right to love whom I may, to love as long or as short a period as I can; to change that love every day if I please, and with that right neither you nor any law you can frame have any right to interfere. And I have the further right to demand a free and unrestricted exercise of that right, and it is your duty not only to accord it, but as a community, to see I am protected in it. I trust that I am fully understood, for I mean just that, and nothing else."

George Takei was pushing this on FB. It's not anything you didn't feel already but I like the attention it's getting. Also I'm a little gay for his beard. (And you all know I'm Internet dumb, so this is the only way I know how to share this video)

Even if, he did so in such a way that suggests that a few atheists cracking bad jokes puts us on the level of a religion that institutionalizes hate, violence towards and legal discrimination against that group of people. A group of people that sits here and complains that they can't "oppose" being gay. A group of people who imply a drug habit when you attempt to explain basic human empathy to them, because it's a concept apparently far beyond their ability to comprehend.

I realize. I was just saying if you're going to be offended you should at least know why.
