Questions for the atheists (The geeky christian)

RE: Questions for the atheists (The geeky christian)
I'm just gonna do my own Christian survey.

1. Do you believe in God?

Nah

2. How dare you?

I allow myself to be skeptical.

3. In the Bible, it says things. Do you accept this as proof like I do?

No

4. If I ask you a misleading question will you fall for it please?

No

5. Damn.

...

6. I hate you?

Is that a question?

7. And finally, if you believe in evolution and the Big Bang theory, do you also adhere to the belief that the universe evolved from monkeys?

Why the fuck are you guys always mixing up the different branches of science?
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

The humor of your apathetic jokes elude me.

Then you should try harder.

When there are innocent people embroiled in such conflicts losing their homes, their family, and their lives, I find it hard to laugh. Perhaps if you were over there having to see the horrors for yourself you would not so readily make jokes about it.

Different people have different ways of dealing with situations.

Myself, and many of my colleagues use gallows humour to get us through our jobs and that translates into other aspects of our lives.

Note what was said. No one here is laughing about what those scum in IS are getting up to.

Try again.

Celestine, this has nothing to do with religion or atheism, this is just some general advice-- The way I see it you have two choices. You can either "put your money where your mouth is" and really follow through on what looks like a misery tour by googling all the statistics on all the causes of death, find out how many people of Earth die every minute from every terrible thing you can imagine, and really rid yourself of joy, OR you could lighten up.

I took the road less traveled then, I found not only the statistics but also the cause of their suffering. I shall not lighten up, nor shall I use comedy to make me forget about real world problems, problems which there should not be a blind eye turned towards. Such would make me apathetic and bitter, my days of watching Seth Mcfarlane are over I am afraid, and I am the better for it.

Have you ever sat and waited with good people with terminal diseases as they slipped away?

I have.

Have you ever had to watch a patient die despite every effort you make?

I have.

Have you ever seen the body of a little boy so badly burned that he's barely recognisable as human?

I have.

Until you have too, please don't tell me about using humour to get through problems.
