Un-United Kingdom
RE: Un-United Kingdom
The lady made a mistake and confused the two piles. We saw her correct herself.
The piles on the tables were put there with the label on the table still there from a previous count.
The small pile in the bin.. could have been decanted from another box. I'm not sure of the protocol.

No more of a problem then any other civic duty such as being required to serve as a juror.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Voting is indeed a civic duty and a small price to pay for the people who died to give us that right. However, if it were made compulsory, I think I would much rather spoil the ballot paper than be forced into voting.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What in your opinion is going on in the videos? The already stacked ballots from a sealed ballot box sets of alarm bells for me.

I think they might be postal votes, which could explain why they were sorted into a pile and then put into a box, although I dont know the exact protocol for storing postal votes if I'm honest.

There are much easier ways to rig an election IMO, filling out postal votes for other people for example (the Muslims like to do this down the mosque), so I don't see any need for them to draw attention to themselves by stacking the votes into neat piles and then showing them on tv. Postal votes, which have been stacked and stored in a box, ready for counting, is the simplest explanation for what we see in the video IMO.

Postal votes for my money. Sent in well before the actual vote but still sealed.

Voting is only a civic duty if you are really convinced you have something to say on the issue.

Having lots of flaky votes cast based solely on the dictates of digestion and the quality of the omelette that morning is probably not a recipe for effective self government.

Most likely this is right. Interestingly I have heard all of the clips being debunked with the exception of the sealed box one.

ROFLOL Your input here is staggering....... I wonder how the US would have reacted to that suggestion in 2000?

It was a 10% difference, so not that close. The SNP even has the advantage of changing the law on voting age, allowing 16 years olds to vote on the issue, their best performing demographic.

And still it didn't get that close.

Honestly, if you're not bothered getting your news from any reliable sources, stick to subjects you know.

well mr poopington, in 2000 we were having a scheduled presidential election, and infact has several third party recounts here in the great state of Fl. And, this just for a normal scheduled election. Imagine what steps we would have to take if the confederate states wished to seperate from the union.

I would say it would be handed over to a third party, because neither side would trust the other with the count.

which mean 40% of your populace In Scotland is apposed to being under British rule.. Don't look now mr.poopington but countries have been divided even driven to civil war with numbers far less than what turned out to vote independence.
How many times has 'Britain' fought this fight? How many times has it lost?

Hate to belabor the obvious, but if that was the case it would mean that 60% of the populace in Scotland are opposed to being independent. That would seem to be a problem if Scotland did become independent wouldn't it?

Perhaps they know about the Barnet formula Wink
