I was going to say a few christians could conceivably have become enlightened enough to act as this teacher did, but I suppose you know better than me how impossible that would be.

What? Enlightened enough to deny the students a basic right under the constitution?

Would you be as defensive of a child getting penalised for saying "Allah be praised"? What about "May you be forever cleared of Thetans? Or "Sorry, I don't worship a god"?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's ok with me. We're supposed to have that freedom here in the USA.

Just for the record, literally a second's worth of fact checking pulls up just how shaky your story actually is, Lek. Maybe stop stroking your persecution boner for a minute, yeah?

Fair enough. I just wanted that for the record.

It's ok with me. We're supposed to have that freedom here in the USA. But this is exactly why prayer in schools is not officially condoned. People can pray all they want in schools. Even non-religious underachievers have probably uttered a prayer in their heads or under their breaths before a final exam. Christians tend to think it's just them being singled out. But any official announcement of sanctioned prayer is liable to stir a huge hornet's nest of offended people who believe in all kinds of strange things.

Rats! I thought I could accuse that teacher of a hate crime, but now I find it's "her word against her word." All I really said was that I read about it. Take a look at the board in the classroom in the photo at the following site.

I don't think schools need to make an official announcement about prayer one way or the other. If a student wants to pray in the hallway, the quad or the lawn, let them do it. Of course, you can't let them just open up during class or something like that. If a christian student is standing there shouting out a prayer, trying to cause a disruption, then they should be silenced. That would be because they're causing trouble, not because they're praying.

According to the board, the other words banned in a classroom are:
Dumb
Boring
Stuff/Staff
I don't know
Hangout
My bad
Really? These are the words banned in the classroom? So, basically, if a teacher asks you a question and you don't know the answer, you are not allowed to say "I don't know"?
I see two possibilities here:
1. The list was made up
2. Students in the class most commonly use those words while disrupting the classroom, so banning those words is means to prevent disruptions.
Option 2 doesn't make much sense to me because any creative student bent on disrupting the classroom would find a way around it and disruptive students like a challenge. So, I must conclude that the list was made up.

They don't, The Supreme Court already did.

That's good, because that's exactly what the law is.
