Yahweh doesn't give you the freedom to think what you want to. The bible repeatedly says thoughts are as bad as actions. Thou shalt not covet, and if thou lookest at a woman with lust, thou hast already committedeth it in thy heart.

You're so far off context it's not even funny.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Orly? I'm quite certain that freedom is the last thing your god is concerned about with us. All it took was one real use of free will, and he cursed the planet and our whole species.

he could easily taken it away and even in the bible it states he regrets creating us. so whats his own issue by i don't know wiping out the whole damn world again... but he wont.

Your problem is that you've swallowed the standard christian platitudes so badly, you don't even feel the need to justify them. It might be license for you to switch your brain off, but when you bray "that's out of context!" it doesn't actually count as a rebuttal until you demonstrate what the correct context is, and how you know this was the original authorial intent.

Until then, it's a total nothing.

If the bibles original writers were around today they would more than likely agree and say it was for profit and nothing more.

True. I'm glad there are some changes going on in most places. In some places it really is like a gang though. Depends on who you live with as well.

As someone who's lived in the South for all my life, I've kept up running, martial arts, and studying the heck out of my textbooks so that one day I could get out. You know how freaky it is when you hear the WBC lady talk? There's quite a few here like that.

As someone from the inside of this way of life who defected, I can say it left lasting harm on me.

I'm in college now. But I still suffer from anxiety attacks. I'm paranoid about letting loose about my being atheist. I have to carefully and systematically delete any and all ties to atheism on my computer / phone, when I visit home. The "We" mentality of the South is nothing more than a gang, and it completely screwed me over.

I'm an atheist, politically liberal, and a bisexual. Two of those could get me disowned / cut off from my family. All three have been the cause of great internal stress.

And I've had a few close calls.

My parents got "advice" from friends whose son turned out gay, and took my phone and searched through messages and everything. Another time all of my emails. Another time my computer when I had left it unlocked. It makes you nervous / constantly cautious. I was only safe in my head.

The only thing I could potentially find funny is how I somehow turned out to be all of these things.

What I found funny was this, I wasn't referring to religion. If you are having internal stresses why not change, seems you've chosen to go against most of what your parents stand for. What part of North Carolina are you in I have family there.

LOL, what a cunt thing to say. There was nothing internal in the post you quoted. Why don't you just say "Hey..... stop being bi and vote for red because your parents are ashamed".

Yeah....now that I typed that out I can see why you wouldn't....................

When someones life is made miserable by others, the decent thing to do -the human thing to do- ( I'll lend you my moral compass here because yours is clearly malfunctioning)...is to empathize.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
