I'm into crossfit, and running...not sure if I'd consider those 'hobbies.'
I also like blogging, going to wine tasting events and tours, and playing kingdom hearts.
And spending time on atheist forums.

Crossfit, from what I hear is the cult of exercise.
Deidre, do you do all the Olympic weight lifting? I notice many xfitters wanted to use Olympic weight lifting exercises as Cardio as well.

My cousin owns two crossfit boxes (in FL). So, I want to be supportive of it, but it seems like so many CFers have bad form.
I do love Iceland Annie, though.

I write (IMO shitty) poetry/song lyrics. And play video games.

Hobbies, when I get a chance.
Martial arts (ninjutsu, when I can), yoga (occasionally), running, riding my bike too fast (when at home in Oz), skydiving (when I can afford it), surfing.
ALso, the occasional computer game - Skyrim, Fallout3 and New Vegas.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

yea, some of the sessions call for Olympic lifts, but other times, more body weight pulls and pushing exercises. (chin ups, push ups, etc)

I've seen so many injury themselves with the Olympic weight lifting cardio sessions. They try to get the number and time, but forget form.
I might try some of the body weight crossfit stuff, but I am working towards the gymnastic workout program.

Put up some of your work, bud. It's good enough for you to commit it to paper, right?

Getting two opportunities to do what you love and get paid for it is pretty good for one lifetime. Or at least, I'll get to find out.
Otherwise I'm probably spending my free time reading, and on rare occasions dabbling in programming or 3D modeling and animation. But it's been a very long time since I did either.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
