Garden of Eden was a setup...
RE: Garden of Eden was a setup...
Why on earth do you believe the Bible is God's word?

Genocide is fine if you're killing people who worship other gods, but homosexuality is an abomination? Having an innocent person brutally murdered in order to forgive people and spare them from possible eternal torture of his making is more ideal than just proportional punishments of the crime and letting people choose where to go after that?

Your god had an idea that didn't work, and the only way he feels like solving the problem is killing people. Even the nicer verses about loving your neighbor as yourself are soured by verses that say you aren't worthy of him if you don't hate yourself.

I'm not going to grovel and beg for answers and understanding. That's not how you deal with a tyrant. I didn't grow up under a dictatorship or monarchy. I grew up in a country where I'm supposed to have inalienable rights, and I expect to have a voice in any situation where someone deems fit to judge me on what I have and haven't done. If you wish to live under a theocracy, feel free to move to some middle eastern country.

Is your worthless coward of a president going to give up his kid for your benefit or is he too busy playing golf when he should be running the country.

Hardly a sacrifice, wasn't it?

Suffer a few hours on the cross, stay dead three days, rise and become Emperor of the universe.

But your imaginary friend just LOVES blood sacrifices, right?

Not even that much. It's a circus trick: See the Great Jesus rise from the grave!

If he's god, he's always god. Hence he cannot die and his resurrection is a given. The much bigger absurdity is the purpose of this horror show in the first place. If Jesus is god, he's virtually sacrificing himself to himself.

God can be alive and dead at the same time. What's one more contradiction?

Hey, "ChristisLord", I'm going to ask you again to answer my question.

Here, I'll even boil it down for you: who made evil?

Look, if you don't like me and don't want to talk, for whatever reason, let me know, and I'll leave you alone.

As of now, I'm not convinced you want serious discussion, by dint of the fact that you are hemming and hawing around the above question, which has such an obviously simple answer.

Remember the rooster's crow. Who made everything?

Or, Jesus gave up a weekend and now wants me to give my entire life.

That's the whole thing many idiots seem to ignore: an all powerful deity has to manifest himself in mortal form to sacrifice himself to himself to change his own rules.

WTF?

His thirst for blood is so unquenchable that Human and animal sacrifices were not enough. He must spill his own.

What's with the only begotten part, anyway? What was keeping him from making more?

This needs to be a goddamned bumper-sticker.

I hate bumper-stickers, but even I would put this on my truck.
