girlish girls, manly men.

RE: girlish girls, manly men.
I've seen men display these exact same traits - it's a two way street.

There's nothing wrong with being undecided. Worse is being uncommunicative or dishonest.

The trait I like least in men is being "macho". I could elaborate, but I think most people will know what I mean. The trait I like least in women is tarring all men with the same brush. I'm of course not saying all men or all women exhibit these traits, they don't. So I'm not trying to tar women with the tar brushing brush Smile

You notice some women that lump all men in a negative fashion because you are male so it is directed at you. Some men do the same thing to women and I notice that more because I am a woman.

Television is horrible about using stereotypes. In many sitcoms, the man is an idiot and the woman-usually his wife- is uptight. I have male friends who complain about television stereotypes of their own sex but don't see until I point it out to them that the wife is also being stereotyped in a negative fashion. Both stereotypes are wrong and harmful.

Sorry to the OP to get off topic.

Ahhh yes, I have decided to ignore my ex-gf. She broke up with four months ago, because she found a new flame. I am guessing she broke up with him, and wants me to pick up the pieces. I decided I am tired of that repetitive bullshit. So, I am moving on. She displays this, but everyone can display a time of the inability to make decisions.

The original post is simply the starter's flag that gets us flying around the track in all directions in our clown cars. Par for the course.

I have a solution. Find out who this most recent old flame is. Chat him up and do something social. Make sure your ex is made aware of the activity. Ex problem solved and you may meet a new friend.

Sometimes all choices seem equally good and the person is being honest when they tell you that they want you to make the decision because they honestly don't care. My husband and I have occasionally reached an impasse when it comes to deciding where to eat out. We know we don't want to cook but neither of us really cares where we eat. Both of us are being honest when we say that we are undecided.

Also, some people can seem indecisive because they come from an abusive background where they weren't allowed to make their own decisions.

I'm fine with being undecided, as long as the person states as such. I'm just pointing out that there are worse things. OP seems to be fairly unsure what exactly it is he prefers in a mate.

BUT
at the same time I hate some typical girlish things girls do.

At the top of the list, because it's what inspired this thread to begin with, is the use of motivational sentimental quotes.

Time and time again on any basically any computer or phone thing where statuses can be typed out (whatsapp, camfrog, blackberry messenger) I see girls with over sentimental, sickening, corny messages like the following

Quote:I miss you. Not in some cheesy, let's hold hands and be together forever way. I just miss you. Plain and simple. I miss your presence in my life. I miss you always being there

And

Quote:if someone wants to be a part of you're life they'll make an effort to be in it. So don't reserve a place for people who don't want to stay

I just had to wipe the bits of sick off my keyboard after searching and copying and pasting those.

I don't think stuff like that is girlish.

Being able to say "I just miss you" doesn't make a man effeminate. It makes him forthright.

Maybe this is a little hangover from being taught that boys don't cry?
